It's going to be nice to be sure. <sigh> I have 18 Walthers coal cars I need to either make loads for or buy some. Keep up the good work and as usual, post those pics!
Thanks for asking. I got one 3'x4" bridge done with an arch on each side. I also got a platform done that will have trees and a tunnel in a curve. The platform is lattice work as well. I wanted to make sure we could see up through the trees as the train passed and into the tunnel. Both are ready for paint. I got lazy and purchased a ready-made tunnel from Woodland Scenics.
I'll take some video tomorrow and get some stills from that. Nothing is mounted up yet but I don't mind showing whats done . I calculated the slope for the grades tonight (2" drop on a 94" run = 2.13% grade). The tunnel is 8" tall. I have to drop 2" to allow for it. The expansion isn't in a vaulted ceiling area so its a tight fit.
Edit: Painting some of the bridgework today so I'm not sure if I'll get those pics just yet. I'm pushing forward though and will get some pics in my album soon. The expansion shouldn't take too long since I have some free time till my next project for work starts.
Thats great news. I wish I had a completely flat surface to work with lol. What are you going to put in as far as buildings and such? What landscaping? Also, your locomotive...what manufacturer? I got a couple geeps but I cannot get the pull that my F7's have out of them.
The westend terminal yard roadbed and track laying is 98% finished, and the laying of roadbed and track of the main line is finished.
The CSX engine and three box cars where used to test the main line, after a few adjustments everything is green.
