LYNN thanks for checking it out and the compliment!!!!!!

CHET-- looks like the same exact model, only mine do seem brighter in color. I could swear the ones in the picture that I ordered were black. I purchased mine from ebay, 10 for about $10 and they came from China post paid. You can't beat them for the price!!!

Thanks for commenting---

I have had the street lamps for quite a while, and like you said, they were quite a bargain. The boulevard lamps were a good buy also. Got 20 of them for $15. Don't know what I'm going to do with so many because I probably only need 7 or 8 of them, but the price was right. Plenty of spares.

Here are a couple pics of my stock pens. I am going to have to do something to get the shiny off?

otherwise I like the way they turned out---

Thanks, Chet!

As far as the stock cars go, I have way too many as it is. This accurail CB&Q is about my prettiest. I have a Swift one, as well as several ATSF, several Great Northern (in Blue and Red), C & NW, D & RG, Pig Palace, and a few more. I was going to make a long train of nothing but stock cars but this new layout is smaller than my suspended one and they don't really look very good here.

I was collecting them all winter when we were snowed in, but thanks for the offer!!!!

While looking through my old hoard of model railroad goodies I found some kits I never built. Forgot I even had them.

I got most of the scenery done at the servicing and yard area of the layout so thought to post a couple pics--

This is an overview of the area, this is the end of the layout and I used up all the room to the wall:

This is the hump yard, only 3 tracks; I maybe could have fit another one in but left room for a maintenance building maybe, some junk; when I get the switches wired I can operate it.

The engine house was an ebay discount item built by someone else. When I got it I noticed several pieces did not line up so I finished it off with some strips of metal and took off the broken doors and made it into a shed:

I still have to figure out a backdrop and wire the switches.

I have videos showing the empty room and progress all the way up to now.

Thanks for looking--lasm

Wow I haven't been in the forums as much lately but you have made so much progress. The scenery and details have really brought the layout to life, they look outstanding. Keep up the great work and keep sharing it.

Thanks
Steve

THANKS Steve for looking and I am going to make a 5 minute video this weekend showing the whole thing.

Like I said on your thread, Your N Scale layout is an inspiration for me to make one. I think I can dream about it for a few years in the future...

THANKS Lynn for checking it out and the comments!! Here are a couple new photos and Video of the nearly completed layout, The train is moving kind of fast but because of the grades I have to set the throttle at 45 mph unless I am going to nurse it.

I put some people and a forklift coming out of the Iron Works building:

I built a couple bins where hoppers can offload, two seperate areas for different sizes of aggregate:

The video shows the entire layout which is all but complete:

Thanks, Tony. I have a steam locomotive to paint and I have about 35 freight cars to go over and thin out so there is plenty of work left.

There are also the little accessories that can be put into the layout.

Thanks for keeping up with my thread, Tony!

lasm,

I may not say too much, at least not on a regular basis, but I have followed your layout on a daily basis for the past god knows how long. :)

I have learnt so much from you, as well as many others, just by looking at your threads. Not to mention that I always enjoy just looking at your progress.

LASM you epitomize the old saying "it does not take a good man all day to do a days work"

I am amazed by how much you have accomplished. Seems like just a short time ago I was watching your trains run on your around the celling layout.

WELL DONE!!

Excellent video. It gives a great overview of your layout. Well done. I have a similar video sitting in my camera that I haven't had time to transfer to YouTube that I should post.

The layout is moving right along.

!!

Thanks, Louis--when I look back on layout video number 1 and 2, I am surprised myself!!

Now I have a chance to work on a bunch of my ebay buys. One of my favorite things in the hobby is taking stuff and making it look and work better.
