Thanks NewGuy but although I like a building with character my camera brought out way to many issues I'm working through.

Thats what having a nice camera gear will do. Funny how you don't notice things, until you see photos of them.

So true Michael and unfortunately I have a friend who although lives 500 mile s away and has been model for many more years than myself does challenge me quite often to perfection .

Hehe, I have a Nikon digital camera and most times my phone will take as good or better than the camera. Go figure...

As they say ... a picture is worth a 1000 words. What they should say is ... a picture reveals a 1000 boo boo's :)

I have a few camera's (between my wife and I), all digital, ranging from a cheapy Canon to a Canon EOS 1D. The 1D obviously takes the best shots, BUT also reveals far more "boo boo's" than the cheaper one.

Bottom line when looking at pictures is not to "believe" everything you see ;)

Tony, you are so right. Back in the late 60's when I was fortunate enough to have operated on John Allens Gorre & Dephetid layout I struck it off pertty goos with John as he was a professional photographer and I was an avid photographer. He gave me a lot of pointers plus he did not that photography is probably one of the best ways to find any flaws in a layout. We are lucky today as we have digital photography.

Lynn , I have to agree with new guy to a certain extent . In the day that this model is in , many a real building did look like that . Repairs were made with what they had and had been done that way for many generations by many people who were not carpenters as such . Obviously the effect can be over done but time , weather and unskilled labor do take their toll on a building . Ultimately , you have to be happy with it but I think some of the " boo boo's " actually make for a more realistic building . The moral of the story here I guess is that if you want to be a great modeler , buy a crappy camera :)... I think it is coming out nice Lynn !!

Lynn, oops, forgot to comment on the building - I agree with what Jim said above, if it isn't perfectly square or level or even flat - it is probably more realistic. Don't forget, your talking about a building, a wooden building, that is what 70 something years old? Even if it was "perfect when first built (70 or 50 or 40 or even 30 years ago)", over time things will move, warp, fall off; walls will drop, floors will twist and things will be "rough repaired" and so forth. Bottom line mate is, I like it but if you are going to "fix" what you think is wrong, then I wouldn't try to get it perfect.

Hey Lynn, been a while.

That is a wicked nice building and you've done a great job.
That is definitely a nice color to the house and I like that roof
Well done

Thanks guys for the nice comments. I had taken that crooked roof of and reattached straight, sandedthe bottom of the building so it too now sits much much better on its platform. Happy now and moving onto signs and maybe the pole lites.

Jim that was too funny with the camera.:D

Seeing as I was in roof painting mode I decided to give the Wicked Wanda's structure a new paint job as well.

Thanks Lynn , those look really good . I could see where Wicked Wanda's could fit in several different settings . Is that a kit or did you scratch build it?

That was one of the first kits I ever did. was a time when I was experimenting with a real run down look.:o
