It is turning out beautiful!!
Thanks for the nice comment. It has been a bear to put together and I'm not real happy with results but I think it will look good along side the tracks.
I like it Lynn, Some kits are just hard

Thanks for the encouragement , I'm puttering away at it and making changes where I can.
Been puttering along painting the roof. This took quite along time using many colours as seen in the pallet of paint and bottles setup.
Here is a before pic just to show how much colour went into the roofs. After I give it a relief wash I can do some dry brushing and put the trusses back in over the freight, which I had to remake after pulling the other ones out to do the roof.
After and still needs a relief wash.

Paints I used
I really like it Lynn . I like how you can see the staining but it is very subtle , not in your face so to say . The color fits the structure and compliments the walls . In an earlier post you had said that you were not real happy with this project . Now that it has been colored up , are you still not happy?
I am much happier now Jim . What you state is exactley the effect I was after , you can see the variations but not in your face. The relief wash should bring it all togethe rto give a nice cedar shake look.
Ohhhh that is much better now. That darker shade you nailed it. Nice work man.
Thanks Michael, its the first time I tried it this way.
With the building just about complete I found a larger bottle for my A/I , something easier for dipping into.
Stripwood cut up to 16 foot lengths and dipped into the A/I and ready for laying out the 8x8 beams for foundation. Wasn't nearly enough 3x8's.
Got a good start
Dang Lynn , that's a lot of pieces , you must have the patience of a saint

One board at a time Jim.Just have the signs left to do on the Station and I'll be about ready to get back to the layout.
Chugging along with the Station. I need to run out and get some 150 grit paper and flatten out the bottom of the building so please excuse the teeterage if thats a word. I now need to tackle the lamps and signage.
Looking forward to see how it fits into the layout now . Nice Job Lynn
The station looks excellent. Nice going. Waiting to see it planted on the layout.
Holy hell batman that looks outstanding! But a lot of work you put into that thing.
So time back to layin more track? Not sure where you left off.
Man, That station came out super great!!!!
Everyone else has already said it BUT ... crikey mate, bloody bonza job on the old station!!!
Thanks guys for the vote of confidence. I wasn't real happy with one of the roofs being out of whack so I'm taking another 2 steps back to make it right.
Aw, man, that gave it 'character'! LOL! Bloody amazing work!
