Sorry about that somewhat double posting of some of those photos. I still have trouble with posting photos on this forum.
I went back to edit that first posting,...delete 2 of the photos, then add the others. BUT somehow I guess I did not delete 2, and add the other2, ....instead I made another posting. Sorry for the confusion.
But then again you can never have TOO MANY photos of trestle bridges

Dang-very very nice. I am envious (not just of your modeling skills) but of the space you have available for the layout. I am absolutely limited at the space and therefore layout options I can do .
Fabulous work.

Thanks Chuck for the compliment. Its not the size of space that matters but what you do with it. I some times wish I was working in a smaller area, I'm sometimes over whelmed.
Got a bit of time in on scenery. I reached as far as I could and will have to work from the other end.
Looks like I need to spend some time making somemore ground foam and blended debri.
Lynn,
That looks superb!
The colors and structure immediately reminded me of the Tropical Queensland Rain Forests. Add a bunch of trees and bingo - you have a Queensland Rain Forest! Not that that is what you want, but to me, that is how good your work looks.

I really do agree with that....it's just that it's quite difficult to many track options on a 4x11!!

Thanks Tony as you must have noticed by now I enjoy a very nice healthy looking layout, trees will come soon.
Plan of action: I'm making a couple retaining walls for where the river will pass under the trestle
Finish off to the top of the river where I will be cutting in a bridge
Do a repour of the upper river and then a waterfall and lower water area.
None of the above will happen real quick as I have other things to do like replemishing my home made ground foam and getting more white glue for securing the scenery in place.

Chuck 4x11 isn't all that small , for instance if you had 4 feet on both ends and if you could squeak a few inches around each of that 4 foot then its perfect for a loop to loop with some 2 % grades, or even no grades but let the landscape rise and fall giving the illusion of the track climbing. I actually learned a lot about that technique while building my last layout and is why it is integrated in this layout. If I didn't wish for the track over track over passes then I wouldn't have had much grades at all. I'd scenic the heck out of that area your working on.
All I can say is beautiful work!
Puttering along with the scenery. I was hoping to pour the water but its just not practical having to get the next area joined in first.
I also added retaining walls to the river banks under the trestle.
This will be the next area to be joined up
Not sure about the "puttering along" bit, but it is looking great no matter how it is getting there!
Looks great, can wait to see the scenery finished with that trestle in place. It will definitely be a perfect spot for trainspotters to hang out.
Steve
Thanks guys for the nice compliments. I head back to work for day shift tomorrow morning so it'll be very slow going for the next 4 days.
Wow lots to catch up on since I last checked in!
Very nice Lynn, and that trestle is impressive!
Nice progress Lynn. Getting alot done.
That's some really excellent work. Well done. Keep the pictures coming.
Thanks guys , my days off are coming.
I finally got around to filling in the area a bit, there will be a road going up the hill and over a bridge. Not sure what I'm doing with the lower area, its a bit too flat for my liking.
