Anyone tired of watching me build silos yet?

This is the last set. This completes the basic footprint.

For now! Other ideas for this are in the pipeline

With no way for trains to actually get to the grain elevator, that had to be remedied.

I used the WS risers to accomplish that. Between yesterday, and this morning I laid it all out and glued it in place. Now ready to put cork on the area that the elevator scene will sit, and the cork strips for the roadbed.

Here's how its coming along:

The more the merrier I say . You're probably sick of building them though I can relate... did a bunch of ballasting today

Actually, no. This was really fun to put together!

We shall see how the puttying of the seems goes though!

Oh it’s going to take more than a day my friend

I’ve never done it before so take this for what it’s worth but I planned to ballast last but for me I found it better to ballast first. Just is working better for me

Seems Silo building has also got you track laying too.

I hadn't planned on going this far, but I'm glad I did.

The original (in my head track plan) wasn't going to work as I originally thought. Now I have re-worked it and know its all going to fit and (hopefully) function well.

Things always change or get added as we go.
I’ve been thinking of mounting a button on the fascia that starts a timer when a car is spotted at the oil seed plant. That would be cool at an elevator your size.

Not huge progress, but necessary. I spent more time waiting for glue to dry.

The roadbed was added to the approach, and I added cork on the plywood that the elevator scene will sit on.

I know I said I was going to set this area aside for now, but...

Got all the approach track for the elevator put down, loading track and 2-storage tracks.

All that's left now is to run a bus wire, drop some feeders and fill in the missing ties, then we can set this aside.
