Nice, but I have to ask, what's the freight car behind the loco with the US flag on, I haven't seen one of those before.

WOW! And a flat postage rate of $25 to the UK, that's on my to-buy list.

My latest addition.

Sounds like you are right at 180 then. Join the club. I'm guessing I will never get all mine "run".

I am sitting at 300 plus at the moment.......it's an addiction for sure. Currently I am purging now...I am dumping a lot of old DC stuff on flea bay with a few exceptions that some may be lucky enough for a DCC conversion. Not all of my locos will be sound as I deem it unnecessary but 95% of my new acquisitions do come with sound..... I would think by the end of this year I will be at a 75% sound and 20% silent DCC operation with the remaining 5% DC in need of conversion.

here's my link to my selling spree.....

I daren't look in case I see something I like, but I have to do the same I've too many that simply don't like my layout and it's not going to get any bigger no matter what track plan I use.

Too bad its Union Pacific, had it been Northern Pacific I would probably be in the action.

And I thought that my 80 engines was a bit excessive!
I'm going to have to downsize, it's stupid having so many stuck in their boxes, and I've still got 8 on pre-order, but I can cancel two of them at least, one is the OO gauge class55 Deltic and is already paid for, and the 5 Military Tribute locos that I've already paid a hefty (non-refundable) deposit for.

I don't remember the exact number off hand, but I'm at about 100. This is my latest that arrived on Monday the 8th of this month. It's an HO scale Hallmark brand Colorado Midland class 102 4-6-0 that I got a great deal on from ebay. It has a Sagami can motor in it and runs like a Swiss watch. These photos came from the seller. I haven't taken new ones of my own yet, but I will when I'm done repainting it.

I hear what you are saying. I have had a lot of comments of my You Tube videos about my layout being filled with locomotives all over the place lol. Hey I am having fun and get enjoyment out running them I truly hope I can progress my layout a little more this year but life tends to get in the way nowadays.

You're getting there with the numbers. I was looking at my documented list the other day when I posted. I noted about 20 I know I have that weren't in the list, so I know there are a bunch more phantoms lurking. I always say I'm going to reduce but haven't been able to yet.

I loved the drives in those old Model Power units. With just a few tweeks they could be made to run so smooth and powerful to boot. I've got at least 5 of the E units in my to-do pile.

I currently have a whopping 5 expanding to 7 diesel locomotives this month. Yep, I’m different! That is down from 130 in 2011 and 96 when I retired in 2014. I was planning to model a large modern engine service facility but I found I prefer to switch and operate on the layout. I therefore started narrowing my focus from what I liked to what the era and layout called for.

I like the sounds of diesels (quiet sound) and truly love a great sounding horn. I will generally weather and sell my locomotives so I am always looking. Right now it’s Gp40-2 L or W units. I’m not sentimental for my possessions and if a family member didn’t gift it to me it’s available for sale!
