A brief inspection shows well detailed but not super fragile car

I will add safety stripes before the dentist appointment Tuesday morning and the weathering will start in the afternoon

That’s a great looking model. Atlas has really stepped up their game on that line of locomotives.

I blew my budget for July already.

I received a box of code 83 flex track and a box of Midwest cork roadbed from UPS today.

Cork roadbed has gotten ridiculously expensive!!!

Directional lighting and ditch lights, I wasn't expecting that, details are excellent, I'm quite impressed with this.

Brekina Mack R model, exactly like one I drove years ago!
However at just over six feet tall I didn’t really fit in the cab.
It even has the buttons for a winter front, mirrors are still in the case.

That much track and roadbed would keep me busy for a month

I don’t know what’s going on with roadbed but my LHS has had trouble ordering it for a while now

It seems to be slowly coming back in stock now, but is being gobbled up fast.. The place I ordered had 8 in stock at the time of my order (Monday). I just checked, and their down to 2. well, I took 1 of them.

James - introducing a small stash from ebay, the little fire truck fits my era just fine and was a good buy, the hoses will go on NP 321 and the fire extinguishers:

The fire extinguishers are the same style that we had in our old school, the 1919 addition. I googled them and they were first in use about 1925. They were kind of a copper color and you would put water in them then add air pressure.

A couple high school buddies confiscated one and drove around town spraying people. Needless to say they got in trouble, had to give it back.
