Okay - back on topic - just ordered some of the following:

EZ-006C EZ Heavy Line .006 Charcoal

TICH-2510 N Scale Tichy Trains Window 6 Lite

TICH-2505 N Scale Tichy Trains Door 4 lite 3 panel

They're coming USPS so I WILL get them in a few days :)
Why does that sound like famous last words, (I'm kidding Tony) I'll have to look up what you've ordered, I have no idea what window 6 lite are

Not enough people seem to want to do that any more - stand up for their rights. One of the reasons (I think) that companies get away with what they do - they exploit peoples apathy.
They make it very hard to complain as everything is automated, especially their complaints line, unfortunately (for them) some years ago I got hold of their CEO's email address in France, I just email him, gets sorted in less than 24hrs.

Sorry @Smudge617 forgot you were a "foreigner" 😂

Here you are:

I normally post pics of what I buy as well - guess I am just getting lazy in my uh hum age :)

:D
Always the way, you think you know where it is, but it isn't. Royal Mail tracking is the same, I've a parcel in transit, but it's been delivered, the box TomO sent had a big label on it to say "Customs Duty Payable" "Not To Be Delivered until Paid", but I've got the box as you know, I'm still waiting for the letter to say I have to pay Custom's Duty:)
Chris, quiet! They might be listening.

Anywhere in the world is an issue. I can sent stuff from Wisconsin anywhere east in the USA and if it goes through the Chicago USPS distribution center forget the time line, it could get there anytime. If it goes for some reason through St Louis the tracking info is fine.

I shouldn’t write this but if I send stuff West I have never had it miss the dates promised.

The items I have been sending to Chris in Great Britain have been arriving in the promised 10-14 day window. Stuff I send to Germany has a 14-21 day window. It should actually be 28 days and customs there has opened every box I have ever sent. Spain and Italy is 7 days and very accurate. Stuff mailed to Oz is about 5 days.

I will need to look at DHL International.

I worked closely with Custom's agents all over Europe including the UK, while I was a long hauler, I know how they, and their systems work, so it doesn't matter, that box is on their system because it incurred Import Tax, if I don't pay it or at least contact them within 28 days, my name and address will be flagged, and then I will get another letter demanding payment of the original amount and could also receive a penalty notice of up to £1000 fine, plus every box I get from anyone, anywhere outside the UK will be opened and examined, for the cost of 20 quid, simpler to just pay it.

Ok I get it. Here in the US they wouldn’t bother after the package was delivered.

DHL International is great "coming into the US" especially from the UK but it isn't so good going out of the US and is much more expensive as well. Just something to think about.
The problem with DHL although it is a good company, once outside the US it's often handed off to another (cheaper) company to deliver, like Evri so unless you quite literally pay through the nose for DHL to deliver it. I don't know how Tom sent his box to me, but it arrived by Royal Mail, which is to the good as their far more reliable than Evri, if it can't be delivered they have to return it to their local parcel depot and you have to go and collect it.

Well I got a few more trucks in and they are as follows.....

Trucks N' Stuff Peterbilt 367 Day Cab with Food Grade Tank Trailer - Cargill TNS TRPB3020D87185A I got 2 of these....

To be honest, this is only the second time I have bought anything through Amazon and I think the stuff comes from Amazon itself - not sure.
I've been a big Amazon customer from the beginning, you know back when they were just a book store (1995?). I was still working on one of my degrees and started buying all my text books from them rather than the university book store. This was before most people knew what the internet was, let alone what the world wide web was. In 1998 they expanded to music and movies. I was not happy when in 1999 they started selling everything. I then I got used to it, and the 2 day free shipping! Now I depend on it to get get things like birthday gifts to where I need them to be on time.

The thing to remember with Amazon this days, is they now host stores for 3rd parties, just like ebay does. Don't remember when they started doing this but it caught me off guard at first when I suddenly had a shipping charge on an item. Just because you are purchasing something from the Amazon site it doesn't mean you are purchasing FROM Amazon. You can tell by looking at the "ships from", If it doesn't say Amazon you are in the hands of a 3rd party vendor. It's easier for one who is a Prime member, then if it doesn't say PRIME with a little green check mark by it, the item might cost for shipping and probably not 2 day delivery.

I think since my first use, of the hundreds of things I've purchased, I've returned 4 or 5 items total (wrong size, color, or damaged in shipping). The process was quick, easy, and painless. One gets the choice of a refund or replacement. And I have had exactly 1 late package.
