I was here a few years ago introducing what was to become a line of micro-processor based electronic circuit and hardware designs at an extremely low cost. My partner and I have continued to develop new products that are unique to us. (Thus far only one design has been mimicked and is a poor imitation at a higher price.)

We now include:
RR Crossing flashers & detectors using IR sensors hidden between the track ties and installed completely above-board.
RR Crossing flashers & detectors using IR sensors above board yet easily hidden and will cover a fair distance.
A tiny circuit that produces a realistic sounding bell and works with most existing flashers.
A motorized turnout motor that can be mounted above or below board. The signal lights and/or control panel is controlled with just two wires and there can be multiple control boards (with signal lights).
Motorized semaphore signals, Red/Yellow/Green, and multiple 3 button control panels (with signal lights) connected via just two wires.
Quad RR Crossing gates with track sensors and signals and can include the crossing bell.

All our products are unique with us, there's nothing on the market that even comes close to matching our performance or price. You're welcome to browse our web-page at http://railroadmicro.com/ and you can contact us via the emails shown on the first page. You'll see schematics, wiring diagrams, pictures & videos of many of our circuits. (Some our designs are being withheld at present for obvious reasons)

p.s. On my previous visit here I was greeted by scorn and animosity by the 'resident experts'. If I see them responding I'll just ignore them. Only one had the courage to try our first product and seemed very pleased with it although he wouldn't pass it on...........

Looks like some pretty neat stuff!
I'll be needing a few things before too long so I'll keep checking in.
Sorry about the bad vibe you might have gotten earlier...

G'day Rich. Long time, no see. Looks like you've been busy. I believe it may have been logandsawman who bought your grade crossing flasher kit, involved a photoelectric cell, hidden in a building or other, to activate IIRC. He did mention he got it working on his layout, but no pictures, far as I know, bit like yourself in that regard. What have you got to show us this time? Pity the web site's not active, quite informative. Especially the videos.

Sorry guys, I'm obviously in the wrong group. Only three responses! Thanks Rico, feel free to contact me via the web page. For those who thinks "photoelectric cells" are hi-tech and those who can't get past the "website is temporarily deactivated" to see the contents, you're right, I'm in the wrong place. It's now showing "Deactivated due to lack of interest".

If by chance anyone should run across my post here that is really interested I'm always willing to open it back up temporarily. If you think someone can do it better then go visit them and good luck.

Sheesh. Condescend much? That whiny bitch act won't get you very far dealing with the public, and it will get you nowhere with this group. I've got a mental image of a small child having a temper tantrum on the living room floor. Good luck.

Negative attitudes (on both sides) aside, I have to admit that your website does confuse me a little. The opening statement makes one wonder if you're taking orders or not.

I did look through the whole site and liked what I saw. I like scratch building things but have less than half a clue when it comes to electronics, so the step-by-step-instructions are what I tend to need. Granted, after doing one or two of a thing, I tend to catch on pretty quick. I do like the prices, though, so when I'm ready for those steps, I'll come check out the site to see if you're still around.

Thank you KB02, please contact me directly........

For those that are actually interested in what I've been trying to make available to the MRR hobbyist, you can contact me via my web-page. Look at the home
page, on the rich side and part way down where it say's "Contacts". We check that email account several times daily and would be delighted to work with you.

I give up on this forum, there are too many here that think they know all about my circuits and just want to criticize. I'm not interested in them and I'll probably not return here. (This forum won't forward messages unless I'm a regular visitor)

... and those who can't get past the "website is temporarily deactivated" to see the contents ...

I WAS very interested in your "tiny circuit that produces a realistic sounding bell", so I visited your website, twice. After I posted, I sort of expected you to return here with a statement on the lines of "The website is back up and running". Why should I waste my time exploring a website that is "deactivated"?

On second thought, don't bother with a reply. With that attitude, your's is not a company I would want to do business with.

It wouldn't be the first time someone turned up with a product idea that was good on he surface but they didn't have the money for advertising, or for product development. Vapor ware. I'd think long and hard before sending any money.

Hi,

I purchased one of these a couple years ago and got it to work.

I have a video showing it operating, click on my YouTube videos, it is one of my early ones.

I made some constructive suggestions about the instructions, which I found confusing. As I recall, an important detail was left out, which I got in one of my phone calls to him.

When I get access to a desktop computer l will paste the relevant links.

Hope this helps, lasm

I'm reminded of Christopher Howard from Railflyer Model Prototypes Inc. This guy really gave me a run. I don't know anything about this guy and his products but I will say when you find someone with an attitude like this guy I would run!

Dave

Oh!, don't bring him up again Dave. I did that during the first appearance of Rich when he was complaining of lack of interest from forum members and mentioned that that could be a reason why, I got a right serve from Rich because of it. Now LASM was the only one to go ahead and purchase a kit and try it out, kudos to him for doing so and reporting the results. The problem I have with Rich is when I read statements/claims that he makes on his website to enquirers and ones he has made on this forum, if he were an equation of 2 + 2, the sum seems to be 3.5

Website shutdown due to lack of interest, by whom, you? It doesn't appear you're interested in making a going business out of this. You write this forum off as the wrong place to post after four days? You have a niche product don't expect people to come running to you when they have no idea who you are. Your technical skills maybe wonderful, but go back to business school and learn some marketing skills. While you're at it, learn how to deal with possible customers. Please take this as constructive criticism, I could very well be a customer for your products.

My apologies to anyone who tried to contact us via the web page. The web people insisted on doing upgrades without permission & they screwed it up! It's fixed now. I check my eMail several times every day........

For those who are interested in what we are doing, Hugh and I will be getting together to test our first dual board semaphore. It has 3 lighted positions and has multiple control panels interconnected with just two wires. Maybe the best part is the total cost under $5 for all the parts. If you're interested feel free to contact us via the email listed on the home page.

This will have to undergo a lengthy trial period before we can make it available to the general public, but we will need help evaluating our prototypes. (The same applies to several other of our products.)

This reply of your's Rich, highlights the problem you have with these forums. You haven't joined to share with us your experiences, you're here to get people off of here and onto your own website. You really just don't "get" the purpose of these forums at all, what you are doing is actually an abuse of this forum's provider's generosity to it's members. If you want to be a provider of commercial products, then clear it with him.
