Thanks Flyboy, close to what I am doing as well, I like it better than when I tried powders.

I use a similar method only make the paint a little thicker wash and wipe off with clean cotton cloth while still partly damp. Usually work on the back side of the building first, as an experiment. This method is a very quick way to do it.

Coming along well in my opinion but right now my fingers are stuck with crazy glue….lol. My old fingers are not good with the small trim by no means.

I find a small pair of tweezers helpful when doing small details, mainly because I have fat fingers lol

I tried that, but my hands were still moving too much….lol. I might try my needle nose pliers tomorrow, but almost supper now.

Try and rest your elbows on a flat surface, I find it helps control my shaking hands.

Still working on the station, had it put away while family was back home. Did start some elevation on the layout though, also in progress.

Considering @Iron Horseman 's old suggestion and moving my turntable; thoughts, bricks, bats and bouquets. Still have track ends and stuff to tidy up.
