lol, is this thread still active? last post was on 12-09-2013, 04:19 AM by gorve den...

Hi narandara, good to hear from a new member in Indonesia. This being a US forum they use their dating system i.e. month/day's date/year, so grove den's post was only last month. Get's a bit confusing if you, like us in Aus, use the day/month/year system.

Hello Narandara,
lol, is this thread still active? last post was on 12-09-2013

This thread is as active as the way big beautiful ol'trees ( try to ) grow!!!....
Most of the technic has been written down or showed so...nothing new to report.....yet.

If new technics are "discovered" I will show them right away overhere....;-)
Thanks for your compliments and hope you will manage the technics I try to use!
Please show your results about treebuilding overhere too!?

I always thought I made neat looking trees when I used this method 20 years ago. But your trees are amazing. I am going to try my hand at using your techniques very soon and will post up some of my results. Thanks for putting all the info here Jos!

Btw..the trees on the pictures have foliage made of only Grasfibres..so no aquariumfibers any more! =)
This one shows 12 mm and some 6 mm Grassfibres first as a basic layer....

Man Jos, you need to setup a video camera and do some video tutorials. I bet you could sell those DVD's. You sir do some amazing work!

Yes, you can hear the wind rustling through the leaves and the birds tweetering. That last pic is big for a thumbnail though.

i have made two trunks with branches, they are made from steel wool and wires, am not sure what size the wire is.. :D now am gonna get some sawdust and made that dilution of sawdust and glue and dish rinse.

i got a question here, am still confuse on how to attach the grassfiber/aquariumfiber to the branch, help anybody.

Hello narandara,

I use a spray adhesive from "BISON" It is made overhere in my country.
I don't know if available in your country?
May be the ratllecan products of 3M?

Important : the the spray of the glue has to be very fine like mist, no small "drops"!!

thank you sir, i got the spray adhesive here, in my country known as spray mount adhesive. Am sorry but i think i got a wrong question, what i mean is after you spray glue the branches, then what to do? i mean, how to attach the fibergrass to the sticky branches?

hope my language is clear enough, since English is not my daily lingua :)
thank you again...

had to look back in the posts overhere too.....
just search for post #142

U "put" it on the branch by using sieve?

Well YES I add the small grassfibers with a kitchensieve or better( if N scale) a thee sieve.
About the kind of grassfibers: how smaller the "leaves"you are goin to use , the smaller the grassfibers.
So for my N scale trees I use the smalllest: 2 mm( the smallest I have! lol ) and as imm.leaves I use , mostly, the fine turf from woodland
When using , for example, coarse turf from Woodland for HO trees, I also use the larger grassfibers , like the 6 mm or even the very long"wild grass"from HEKI. of course in combination with the fine ones!.
Just experiment with the grassfibers and see for yourself what the results are!

I also use - since 2013- the "grassmaster" from NOCH. It is not that necessary to aply the fibers on the branches with it..... but it will help a lot!
