I am looking for HO scale decals for Burlington Route (C.B.&Q.) passenger cars, black letters. All the places I've looked show Microscale decals out of stock! Any suggestions?
I too, love the Q, best of luck! Thanks! I am going to try to redecorate some heavyweight passenger cars from Pulman green to either aluminum or gray, the way the Q did in the '50's, when they replaced the shadowline striping with plain colors. I need the black BURLINGTON names to apply after I paint the cars. These cars were upgraded internally so they could have their useful life extended. That was cheaper than ordering more lightweight stainless steel cars to meet the post-WWII passenger demands...before the Interstate Highway system and airlines made passenger trains decline.
I have used Tamiya's paints for many years, maybe this spray can would work for you:With the decals on the way, I need to figure out how to come up with "aluminum" color and a brand of paint that will work on the plastic of the old Athearn Blue Box. I won't be airbrushing them, so it will have to be something I can brush on. Any help will be appreciated.
