Howdy, Y'all.
Man, there is no way I can catch up on all the posts here. It's been a long week with Dianna in Colorado for the funeral and me having to get about a dozen things done while hacking up part of lung every day. I have many stories to tell but suffice it to say that things worked out the way they were supposed to, even if it wasn't what I wanted. Dianna got back yesterday and is recovering from both the sadness of the event and the culture shock of being an Alabama girl in Colorado. As she learned, things are different there. I told her now you know what I feel like being down here.
CJ, hope you're already in Little Rock. Looks really nasty on the radar right now.
Bob, sure sorry to hear about having to go on insulin. As others have said, apply for SSDI now. It will take at least a year before you get it granted, even in an open and shut case, so don't dawdle.
Phillip, I'm glad to hear the wife is healing OK. I'm sure she must be a little sore and grumpy but she'll get better. Just remind her of all the new clothes she'll have to buy.
Ken, I may have missed a post from you but I hope Vicky's ankle is on the mend. After eight days as the house husband, you have my full sympathy.
I've missed a lot of others here and I apologize. I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected. We're waiting to see what the next storm will bring. Looks like the freezing line will remain just to our north, somewhere around Rex's house.

We had a honkin' storm here Sunday that caused a fair bit of flooding and the ground is completely saturated. They have a flash flood watch out and I think that's a likely occurrence if we get the two inches forecast. I'm at the top of the hill in our subdivision. I have a drainage swale that starts in my backyard and then drains the other lots for about a quarter mile. It's the first time I've ever seen it full since I've been here. I was complaining when we weren't getting any rain. We're now about eight inches above normal, so it can stop any time it wants for a while.
