Maytag "Danged Agitator"
Flo has the new place all spiffed up and open for business as usual, no monkey business here guys just the good ole clean fun we have always had.

And see I didn't throw a DMSF in the last place! I was well behaved!:D

I got a couple of yards to do and then pick the boy up from summer camp. and if I play my cards right might get some time to work on the fish tanks and the work on the layout:)....see ya guys later!

Good morning.

It's 73 and clear. The high will be around 96 and it will be partly cloudy.

I didn't have much time online yesterday as Suddenlink has a still unresolved problem that's crippled internet service to customers along a stretch of 10+ miles of cable. Right now my download speed is OK but my upload speed is in the 40's. It should be no lower that 256. For much of yesterday there was no signal at all. I'm hoping the problem gets resolved today but I'm not holding my breath while I wait. My father should be off work today so he'll be able to watch my mother, giving me a well deserved break. I have to go to town later to pick up a few things but other than that it should be a nice slow day with nothing to do but relax. Now Murphy will jump on me for sure!

Mornin' guys!:) Just stopped in for a cup before I head out to my motorcycle safety instructor class. Man, I have to be there from 10 to 6 today and the next two Saturdays in a row:eek:. But I guess when I am done and if I pass the course I can start teaching people how to be safe on the road, so it will be worth it:D

The new place looks really nice, the coffee is still good, and of course the clientele is exceptional:D

It's a nice cool morning here in Pataskala Ohio, we are suppose to get some really good thunder storms later today. At least my class is inside today and we do not do any riding today either.

Larry; That is one nice job you did there, next spring I would like to get started on a brick patio at my place. Did one at our first house and it was really nice.

We guys I need to get ready and head out soon, talk to you later tonight maybe...

Good Morning All...

Been a while since I was able to stop in and see how everyone is doing. I am up early this AM because my Dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday night with chest pains. He has a pretty significant cardiac history. His wife called at 3:00 this morning to say that his breathing was compromised and things were not looking good. I headed over to see him...the hospital is only about 10 minutes from my house. He had improved and was breathing much easier. Is still in ICU...keep him in your prayers...please.

Jim...the goofiest tourist question I ever heard of is when a woman asked my friend's mom who ran a gift shop in St Elmo (CO)..."are we too late to watch the deer turn into elk?" Ugh! My friend's mom assured her that it was the absolute wrong time of year to witness that particular event in nature!

Chris...I said a little prayer for your job...situation. I too enjoy your work stories, so I hope we can keep 'hearing' them!

Jeffrey...glad to hear that your Mom is getting around a bit better. She is lucky to have yo nearby to keep an eye on her!

Larry...all the back-breaking wrok certainly paid off~! It looks lovely! Until a little over a year ago, my brother lived in Huntington and I thought it was a beauitiful part of the country with it's gently rolling hills and pristine farms.

Phillip...terrific news about your son. Has the pain in his back subsided? Do they have a treatment plan?

I hope you all have a great day!

Sandy

Good Wet Morning

Nice place here, FLO!!!

We's got a whole bunch o' rain last night and we's be getting showers---heavy at times--with those t'underin'boomers. Our muggy high will be at 25C with the humidity at 95% for the day---yay:rolleyes::rolleyes:

-------------------------------

Phil That is some good news on your son--the exercises do help that is for sure

Jim, Sandy I've heard that one up here too. We even have a version about the moose up near Oxtongue Lake---Deer turning into Moose (Meese?););)

-------------------------------

Because we's be getting so much rain the lake behind our house has started a river system to drain out of. I'm kinda thinkin' 'bout puttin' in a dam for a small scale hydro-electric project here!! If it keeps up like this we may need pontoons on our house for Pete sake!!:eek::D:D:D

Have a good one people----don't anyone be floatin' away just yet!!

Good Morning All...

Chris...I said a little prayer for your job...situation. I too enjoy your work stories, so I hope we can keep 'hearing' them!

Sandy

Sandy as I tell my wife, "If My life were a movie It would be written by Mel Brooks and directed by him too.!"

Just this moring, I was sitting in front of discount auto part with all my mowing gear wait for the store to open....And up comes this guy in a panic, his mower died yesterday while he was mowing and he need to get his lawn finished. asked me how much I told him and followed him to his house. Ain't any wonder his push mowed commited suicide! Dang lawn was as tall as the rear tires on my tractor and thick to boot! well needless to say I got it done now I got a new customer!

As for my park job, not much new other that fist fights and argument starting up all over the parks department and county wide, No body is a great mood!

"I'll return the prayer fer your dad!"

All, my sons back still is uncomfortable, but it's tollerable. He's doing the physical therepy, and that helps.

"And see I didn't throw a DMSF in the last place! I was well behaved!"
Chris we is so proud of you keep up the good work.

The "prayer rug" is surely getting a workout lately. Prayers sent Sandy. I may have to send a check to the church for more candles. We've had a lot of request from family and friends.

Chris, did you take your baler with you? Might be a market for model hay bales.

Larry, very nice work. Seems as though some think we lived in cardboard shacks in Indiana. I was wondering, how many times did you smash your thumb? No job is complete, or worthwhile, without a little blood-letting.

Phil, I'm glad, so glad, to hear tehrelative good news on your son. Prayers do work, I guess.

Seems as though Flo keeps having to move the place. Must get a bit tedious. Still the customers are the best part of the business. I guess that's my way of saying thank you to all of you for allowing me to participate here.

Bob

Bob No smashed fingers but I did manage to run a nail through one finger into another with the air nailer. That was the only mishap I or any of my few helpers had. I orderd a new three base 2 1/4 horse DeWalt Router kit online from Woodcraft yesterday morning and it arrived this afternoon via FedEx. WOW what fast service and it was at 10% off with free standard shipping. The two day shipping fee was a $16.16 option that I apparently did not need.

Good Evening

Got another t'underin'boomer roar through here with a few more barrels of rain, hail and a lightshow as well-----we even had a funnel cloud seen just west of us!!:eek: 3" rainfall in 15minutes----

After I had to do a grocery run I managed to get some cars weathering started. Now they are drying abit then I'll see what happened to them----:):):)

So back to the trainroom I go-----:rolleyes::):):)

You guys missed a funny one a few weeks ago. I was backing out of a handicap spot at Wal-Mart about 10 pm one night when a lady in a gray Mercury or Ford turns into the row at about thirty+ mph (12 mph limit), sees my car and slams on her brakes. Well, it's too late and she hits my back bumper, not hard enough to do any damage but it's enough to rock the car. The next moment she jumps out of her car yelling and screaming that it's my fault even though I was already well out in the lane when she came in on her qualifying run and hit me. Here's where it gets funny. The lighting in the parking lot isn't all that great so she can't really see the fire dept emblems on the car very well. She stopped in mid-rant as she spied the emergency light bar on my roof and went white as a sheet as she said 'Oh <insert explitive here>!' and was on the verge of fainting. She thought for sure she'd rear-ended a cop car! I reassured her that I wasn't a cop and that everything was all right. As for who was at fault the stores security tapes would prove that conclusively if she wanted to make a fight of it. There was no damage to either vehicle so we went our separate ways.

Jeffrey, I don't know about Alabama, but here in Maryland there is a little know state law. Folks backing out of a marked parking space HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY ! Might want to check the Bama books, might be something similar down there that you can use to your advantage next time some idiot with a heavy right foot smacks the back of your ride!

Sandy Prayers sent!

Phil Hope the P.T. helps!

Larry OUCH!!!

Chris No cookies for you! :( The dry cookies make you thirsty, the thirsty makes you drink beer, the beer gets ya crazy, and this place is too nice for you to start one of the DSMFs or whatever you call it. Flo's worked hard on this place!

The Alabama laws wouldn't do me much good as I'm in Louisiana. I was already all the way out into the lane so I did have the right of way.

Good morning.

It's 77 and cloudy. The high will be around 93 and there's a chance of thunderstorms.

Not much happened yesterday. My mother and I went to a restaurant in town for lunch then I brought her home and got her settled back in then worked on the layout for a little while then went to dinner in town with my sister and her husband. He's scheduled to go back over to the sand pit soon and is using his time to get some home DIY projects done. They just recently got their 4.5 ton central AC system replaced with a 5 ton system from Payne. It wasn't a pain to put in though it did require some reworking of the duct work and the mounting base. They'd been having some problems with the old system and the mounting frame for the evaporator assembly was partially rusted out. I'll stick with my Frigidaire. It keeps it downright frigid in here.

Good Morning

We got another series of 60% showers show up and FLASHKABOOOMM!! all over the place:eek::eek::eek:

Real fun:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

So I gotta do some HD list thingees before the dang list grows fangs:eek: and THEN I might get some weathering done:rolleyes:

---------------------------------------------

Jeff We had a variation of that when I was stopped at an intersection. I'm in the left turning lane and a lady behind me went into the lane to the right and tried to beat me around the corner:rolleyes: I went around the corner on an advanced green, she tried to beat me around said corner and a police car shows up and gives her chase----she later got to the mall, saw me and started in on me about being in HER lane---:rolleyes::rolleyes:

---------------------------------------------

Have a good one:):)
