Yes Ma'am!

I'm going to start in the basement where my home theater set up, pool table, pinball machine and layout will live! I even get the new carpet and new power reclining Flex steel couch. I'm not sure why I'm getting what I want in this whole thing. I'm sure I'm in for a real doozy the next time she wants something!

Has she been eyeing a new car?
Just sayin'...

yea might want to see if shes take say 10 or so million dollar insurance policy on you , after all order anything you like ;) ............. a little accident & you'll never see it mmaaaaaahhhhhhh :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Went down to my fathers place today and mowed what is now my nieces yard. The new tractor works very well but due to it's cutting width there's a few places it can't get into. That four extra inches makes a big difference. For long time when I was using the Peerless I had two different size decks I could use depending on my needs, forty-two inch and sixty inch. The sixty inch deck rusted out a few years ago so I was limited to the forty-two inch deck. The Murray has a forty-six inch deck and no way will the smaller deck fit it so I'm stuck with the forty-six. Well if somebody wants those places cut they can whip out the weed eater or get a new new battery for the Yardman and use it's forty-two inch deck to cut those places. I don't think they'll complain. Those places add up to a whopping twenty-two square feet.

Afterward my father and I went to Wal-Mart where he picked up some items for himself and a 48oz bottle of Crisco Oil for me. We came back to his place and had Hot Pockets, watermelon and root beer for dinner.

Not much done on the layout today. It's still a mess. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, it's time i shut this mess down and call it a night.

-----------------------------------------------------

And a fine good morning it is...

As our rivers/creeks/streams have awoken to the sound of rushing high waters from all the dang runoff and rain we got yesterday ...sheeesh. The ground around here is so saturated that we squish and leave footprints in the mud around here

...and we are now headed back towards good old winter...for another winter week....

Can you tell I'm awake? I had to create another channel for our backyard lake to escape...again...in the middle of the downpour...as it got into our basement via one of our window wells....sigh

So, today I will be checking the neighbourhood out as it will only be 40% chance for anything to fall out'n the skies....

Have a good day, everyone!!

Good morning. It's 35° with 99% humidity. The high will be 68°.

Bright sunshine today with a 5 mph north wind. We'll see. Yesterday the weather guesser had said it would be 60+ with a 10 mph north wind. It never got above 54 and that wind coming off the lake was a lot faster than 10 mph. More like 25!

Today I'll try again to get the layout cleaned up. I did part of it yesterday but as usual other more important things got in the way. I'll probably do some movie watching too. My arms are aching a bit after wrestling that tractor all over 5.5 acres yesterday. I gotta get used to that again.

I've also been badly remiss in my loco patching. I have several locos that need something done in that regard, one of them adorned with a Union Pacific. That has to change. I just need to decide what color to mask it out with.

Good Morning:

It's 52 and overcast at the Jersey Shore. The humidity is up and it's our turn to get the rain everyone else had yesterday.

I took advantage of yesterday's mild temperatures to do some yard work. Three yard bags of twigs and leaves.

Have a great day.

Joe

man it sucks out its rainy & 77* ughhh feel like im in new england :(
You can run but you sure can't hide from it!:p

Weather's not too shabby here in central MD, now that the rain's moved out. The downside of that is my grass will start growing again - mowing my 2 acre lawn takes away a sizable chunk of weekend mrr time.:(

Get a bigger tractor. I upsized mine, and now can mow my acre in 30 minutes, if I don't mind the bouncing. 45 minutes if I slow down.

We have a big lawn and Patti has the flowers and trees. One of these days I need a lawn tractor or mow the lawn over 2 days with the noisy smokey push mower. And Patti says the push mower keeps me in shape. The lawn was fertilized last fall and will be again this spring. Oh boy what have I done, never used that fall stuff before. We lived in the New Mexico desert years back, a rock garden, so nice!

Ahhh yes, a bigger tractor would be nice...but if I had the money to pay for one of those I'd spend it all on mrr stuff instead:p (gotta keep my priorities straight)

Okay, but I think you're in a no-win situation. If you get a bigger tractor, you will have more mrr time, but you will have less $$$ to spend on mrr stuff.
Decisions, decisions...

If it was my choice I would use round up on the lawn and never mow again, of course then I would spend all of my time cleaning mud off of the dogs feet before I was allowed to let them in the house!

Or concrete, but then it cracks and the weeds and grass grow up through the cracks

Concrete and green Krylon are your friends.

Good Evening...

Typical...we did not see even a microsecond of that yellow orblike thing here....I'm beginning to doubt that exists...:mad:

Not much to report this evening...went to neighbours and had a chat with him about a few things...that was about it....

Have a good evening/night....:):)

Well I made a lot of progress on the layout cleanup, finally. I found the missing pliers and the missing loco. I know an F7 is a bit big to lose but with that pile of stuff anything was possible. I also found a roll of electrical tape, two tubes of JB Weld, a 6-in-1 screwdriver, two Bachmann track cleaning pads, a Boley truck and a Bachmann decoder. And that was just on the layout extension. I put away enough stuff to fill four shoe boxes. Next I have to concentrate on the east end of the layout where the pieces of my unfinished grain elevator project are.

I never did get outside today though I did look out the window several times. It was a very bright sunny day from what I could see and it looks like we'll have that big bright yellow orb overhead the next couple of days.

That's all for today so I'll pack it in now and call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
