I don't know anything about a Life-Like version. This one is from IHC (Mehano). The drive is similar to early Athearn models I've worked on and the body shares some attributes with some early Bachmann and Athearn models. If you look closely, you will probably see that Life Like Century shares a lot of common designs with the 1970's AHM GP18.
Yes Barry, we were all shocked and saddened by yesterdays horrific news. Unfortunately too many young people today are getting subtle and not so subtle messages from some of our so-called leaders, that if your life is not going well it's ok to blame others and lash out in destructive ways.Good Morning
Kinda late this morning..high of 44F expected....some sun, some cloud...the usual
Got all kinds of stuff done yesterday..then heard the news..talk about shock....

The C628 seems to be a record holder. It appears to have been produced by no less than four companies. That explains why I came across C628's on Ebay that had flywheels and six axle drive. Mine is four axle drive, no flywheels and a motor that was around when the T-Rex roamed North America.
you need to keep your feelings on certain subjects out of this forum,if you dont like it dont respone THANK YOU, now back to trains pleaseRemoved by Willis

Say Bill, that's a neat shot of the old rural crossing.
Thanks for posting it.

Say Bill,
This is really a neat shot too, I really enjoy the trestle and especially the track speeder, that's pretty neat.
Actually, I always had a fantsy of building an HO gauge rail inspection car with an early model T body and something like an N scale motor to it.
Say Jeffrey is that something you might have some thoughts on? I know you work mostly in HO but wondered if you might know of a similar type of operating car? I have the motor and drive mechanism form an old Bachmann Hand Car that could be used but it might stick up a little high but maybe it could be a load in the bed of an early pickup truck.
Definitely a novelty but something cute too! IMHO
