bnsf971..... The ES44DC can now be called the "floor model".... 6' is high. Must have some tall model railroaders there!

Here is my "floor Model" (SD9 346) after I put a zillion pieces back together. It was running on a new layout section without protective fencing, and it hit some papers I had laid across the track. I guess I should have been the one to pee in the bottle. You can see the step is missing small pieces when you compare with SD7 317. ... This photo is about five years old, and was before I added details to my SD's.

My friend here had his IC E9 become a floor model. It took a while for him to repair it, too.

Today has been taken up mostly by making backups of software for the //e. Some disks like Copy 2+, ProDOS Users disk and DOS 3.3 System Master I like to keep at three backups at all times. Also made multiple backups of the diagnostic software. I spent more time than I wanted to fine tuning the //e's flat screen monitor. The controls are all multi-function and naturally are tucked away so you can't see them when you're watching the screen to see what does what. It was a major pain in the butt to get the brightness and sharpness set how I wanted. Had time afterward to play a game of Starfleet1 but little else. Internet finally came back up and it took a while to get caught up on who's doing what and what's happening where. It may seem like I don't pay attention to your posts but I do.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Say Mike: A dual Overhead cam, four valves per cylinder engine is really a lot of fun alright. I have a Mitsubishi Eclipse with a similar a Four Cylinder dual OHC/ four Valves per cylinder engine with a turbo charger and I get more than enough power out of it. It's front wheel drive where your Toyota is real wheel drive and drifting can be fun, but be cautious.

Oh, and this is a long shot, I meant to ask, are you related to a Dale Day that used to live in Woodland Hills or Tarazana, Calif? Both town are out toward the West end the San Ferando Valley which is West of the main Los Angeles area of Calif. Sometimes it a small world!
Yeah David, the Mitsu Eclipse turbo......those are cool. I don't think I know the Day's in California.
