Hey All...

Seems we are stuck in a deep freeze. I for one am ready to break out of it! It's 3 degrees right now, so we are warming up a bit. I stayed home today..I brought work home so it works out just fine.

Went into town yesterday to get some groceries and it was nearly balmy out. I think our high was 17.

Sounds like some of you are getting some of this, as well. I hope everyone stays warm and cozy!

Just got back from the Deer Creek hospital. I was their first ever patient in their wound care program. As I said, it was a lot of the usual poking and prodding. There was also mention made of a wound vacuum. I guess I'll be finding out about that at some point in the near future.

Checking in and grabbing a good cuppa Joe. Flo, maybe a spot of that "spice" that Carey is getting. :D

I'm elbow deep in plaster and probably will be for awhile. The scene I am working on is the back wall of the layout. It is 20 feet long and three levels. All of it will be hills/trees/tunnels;I have decided there are enough planned towns/structures in other places (probably go broke doing them :D). Because there are three levels, it is a capital "B" to reach everything. I am so sore from twisting and reaching, I feel like the blocking dummy of the Cowboys.

Back to the white messy goop...it's actually fun! :)

This is a photo of the area I am working on:

BTW: I bought a case of medical plaster gauze for $45. The case = 12ea., 8"x15' rolls. This figures to <$4/roll and it is better quality than Woodland Scenics . Just find a friend in the medical field and get them to order some through their supply.

OH-oh! Jim, it sure has warmed up here in T-town, the wind is strong, and the dew point high. Man, I hate that happening this time of the year. Best I check the closet to make sure we can get in, if need be.

Sandy: Did you say.....3 degrees, as in three. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Chris: Come on over and play with plaster mud pies...its great fun. Did I ever tell you guys about the time my wife shot at a possum and killed dead our outdoor water faucet. Yeah, water everywhere! Possum safely went back to the woods. LOL:D

Rex...I just checked the temp and according to the Weather channel, it's -7.
Too cold for me...I'm goin' to bed.

Night, All

Sandy

Rex, it's 72 here right now! The temperature has gone up five degrees in the last hour and we are getting 28 mph gusts from the south. The dew point is 70 and the barometer is down to 29.63 and dropping at .05 inches per hour. All the storms seem to be staying to the north and none have looked too severe yet, although there's a line moving into T-Town now that has some lightning and rotation associated with it. It's a good time to check your closet, that's for sure. I just made sure we have all the flashlights in the basement. This feels really weird, like a night in May, not December. There's a squall line forming just across the state line that looks like it might be headed toward us. I can't imagine we're going to get out of this one without some tornados somewhere in the state.

Jim and Rex....Tornados???? In December? Oh man! You all be careful!

I decided to come to work early this AM. Left the house at 4:30 and it was -13.
My car didn't warm up all the way to work. Supposed to get to 20 today. Boy, I hope so!!

I hope everyone is doing well today.

I'm gonna go make some coffee! Brrr!

Sandy

A good morning--

Jim I hope nothing tornado like showed up down there!!:eek:That is not a good thing! Stay safe down there---

Meanwhile whatever we were supposed to get shrivelled into a few showers and a wee bit of white stuff----but we are seeing really dull dull dull skies and wind today with a few little snowflurries. To the North of us they are getting up to 10" of snow and to the south of us they are getting even more wind than here---here---just plain ol' wind and cold and dull dull dull--

I'm gonna go into the trainroom and get something done in there---and then see if'n I can beat my nemesis on the camera---close up fuzziness:mad::mad:

Have a good one:)

Good morning folks.

You boys down south can commence laughing at us Yankees. We will of course return the favor next summer!:)

It's nasty nasty nasty here! I don't know why I'm even going to work. We've had over ten inches of snow with over forty mile an hour wind. This is one of those times where it's hard to shovel snow. It just blows back into your face. Oh well, the landlord is in charge of most of the snow removal. I'm just responsible for my sidewalk. What do I need a sidewalk for? It only leads to my front door. Something tells me that we will close early today if the wind doesn't die down. It's downright impossible to see on the highway.

Have a great day everyone. I know I will.
