Good morning folks

Has Fall finally arrived? After reaching a high of 85 F yesterday afternoon it quickly began to cool off. On my way home I actually ran into a rain shower. By the time my son went to football practice it was down to 68 F. That was a 17 degree drop in 5 hours. About 10 PM last night we had a line of thunderstorms roll through and drop an inch of rain on us. This morning it was noticeably more comfortable with a temperature of 64 F. The high today will be around 79 F with the possibility of more showers.

No modeling last night. I tried to get started but things just did not work out.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Mornin' all!

Boy, it got cool around here overnight! Right now it's a balmy 47 degrees out, and the sun's been up a while! Day before yesterday it was 91!

Rest Of Today: more clouds than sun, breezy & cooler, spotty shower? - high: Mid 50s

Tonight: mostly cloudy & chilly, spotty showers around - low: 45

Ken, that seems like a lot for brakes my friend. I just did the back brakes (did the fronts a little while back) myself on my Ford Taurus this last weekend and I had a whole $17 invested in the entire job. You'd have to be having rotors or drums replaced, as well as shoes and pads, maybe some wheel cylinders, a new master cylinder and some lines done to equal that price. I know some vehicals cost more then others, and mine's on the cheap side, but thats still a chunk of change. Do you know exactly what parts and labor they're quoting you for? Some shops buy their parts at a local parts store (the same one you can go to), then mark up the price of the part and charge labor on top of that. They get you coming and going. Get a list of the parts (with their pricing) and then go to the parts store and price it yourself just to be sure you're not getting ripped. Be smart my friend! We're called to be wise as serpents and gentle as lambs.

Good Morning ! All from the Niagara Frontier, Looks like it cooled off a bit and fall has arrived . Frost isn't on the pumpkin yet but their perdicting snow in parts of Western New york this week. well gotta get some fall chores done . Enjoy the day all !!

Mornin' Bill!

Mornin' Jeffrey!

Mornin' Tom!

Mornin' Paul!

Yep, Fall is here for a while. The high today in the Finger Lakes is going to be 67°F and even cooler tomorrow. Love this kind of weather. I don't have to turn on the furnace yet and don't need to run the air conditioner.

Mornin' yall!

Just got in from having a routine MRI done this mornin'. Found out sumpin' I ain't too happy about.:(

They had me remove all the metallic items and my wallet, off my person, which they put in a small bowl about 15' away from the machine. Had the test and left. Stopped to put some gas in the truck and the bank card wouldn't work. Tried in two places, still the reader on the pump wouldn't work.

Went to the bank, they checked it, all information on the magnetic strip had been erased, rendering the card useless. The bank has no way to replace the info on the card, so I had to order another. It will be the second new card in as many months! Rats!!!

Morning All! A beautiful, but cooler day in AL!

Tom, we will take all of the rain you don't want.:D

CJ, I'm beginning to think that your theme song needs to be "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all" Nothing but gloom, dispair and agony.

Wow, Carey! That is surely something to remember when any of us have to have that done. I'd send a bill for your time to the hospital....... LOL

Carey Those MRI machines deliver a huge amount of magnetic energy, thats why they have 2" to 3" thick electric supply cables plugged in, anything like a bank card should be outside the room Not in the same room, if you had a sliver of shrapnel or similar in your body, the magnetic pull could in theory rip it clean out, Ouch

Was the swipe stripe wipe the bad news or was there something that showed up on your MRI.

I just had a CT series done and all sorts of poking and prodding in prep for my Doc visit on the 177 of this month. It's been a touch over 6 months since my Heart Attack and I'm as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs about this next visit.

Stan;

Good to hear you're still out there my friend!:D How's things going on the RR front? Weren't you planning an N Scale layout?

Hi cj........Well after three years in the hobby and buying three different scales of trains, N, O,and HO I finally figured out that HO is where I want to be. Even though I'm limited to a 5'x12' layout right now. I'm more satisfied with HO and having a great time. The layout is coming along real slow, but at least I'm running trains!

Take care, Stan.

Hi Rex, I'm running trains and that's about it. I haven't had much time to work on the layout . I'm trying to get everything outside finished up before winter sets in. At least I didn't have to cut much grass this year.:D

Stan.

Man its been a long time scince I've stopped in and said hello in fact it was 2 coffee shops ago my favorite was set for shop V and here we are at number VII you guys sure change a lot.

Lot has happened guess scince I last posted well lets see I'm no longer in VA. I'm now in TN last job down sized me out.

Now work for a grocery store at about 2/3 of what I was making.

I now live in a lot smaller place than I did I went from 14 X 65 to 14 X52 and I had a 12' X 14' shed now have no shed so lost lots of room.

my train room went from 13.5 X 11.5 to about 7' X 8' with a large desk in it so I'm trying to do a ceiling loop and shelves to display the rest.

Time moves on so must I wanted to come in and say hi and see whats up couldn't remember my password and when I requested it they sent it to go with the 2nd account I made when I couldn't remember from time befor lol oh well.

Guess rtraincollector is gone and now I have to live with rtraincollector2

talk to you all later I hope lol.

Nah it was the swipe stripe that got cooked. Now I'm cardless and have to get gas money from the wife!

Won't know about the MRI until I go back to see the neurologist in a month. She said it was for losing my memory, or sumpin' like that....I forgot.:)
