I remember those pix! Dick Jubinville (from Elliots Trackside Diner across the street) emailed those to me and several others ~ a year ago. Still freaks me out whenever I look at them though....!
Ditto. I saw them about a year or so ago. Tis the stuff nightmares are made of. And, it it looks like there have been some others not so lucky down at the bottom of that hole.
There's a boy that had best be thanking his Maker!
Well, the wife and daughter just got back a little bit ago from the hospital. Last night my daughter was playing basketball and jammed her finger pretty bad. My wife took her to the hospital to have it looked at. They took some X-rays and badaged it up to send her home. Today the doc called and said the X-ray didn't look good and could she come back. She fractured her finger in two places. They put her finger in a pretty hefty split, hooked her up with some light pain killers, then sent her back home. I just tucked her in (she's still daddy's little girl when she's hurt). Poor thing! She's going to be in the splint for 6-8 weeks.
Ugh, overslept again. Must be the new Meds.
Gimme' coffee and nobody gets hurt.
And a side of home fries.
Overcast today with a 50% chance of rain. Typical of Florida in the summer. It's a toss of the coin for rain most days. Rained all day yesterday and the prospects of a cookout today don't look good. I keep meaning to put a tarp over the deck for days like this but I'm just not in the mood lately. Still the cloud cover keeps the sun from beating everything and everyone into the ground.
I saw the accident pix being passed around over at Elliot's. All I can say is ACK!
Mornin' Phil! (Ooooo, I'm a poet and don't know it.)
Mornin' Printer!
Labor day! And my Father-in-law's 94th. birthday. I'll be going over for cake later today. In the meantime I have to find (or make) a Birthday Card for him. He'll probably get a years supply of his favorite cigars so I'm going to take my laptop and give him a tour of the RR Museum I went to a couple of weeks ago and some photos of his Great Granddaughter.
Good Morning Bill . Phil , Printer & Ray . Hey Ray a big Happy Birthday to your Father-In-Law and hope he has many more. Another beautiful day here on the Niagara frontier. Just recovering from the wedding last night . It was in Niagara Falls with the terrace overlooking the rapids. Will try and show you what my limited camera took of the view. hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day or labour day to our Canadian Friends !!!!
Morning all you guys, afternoon Steve, morning tomorrow NZKen! I hope you are enjoying Labor Day weekend...but will someone tell my wife that this is suppose to be a day free of all laborious tasks...including honey-do lists.
Taking another look at Chip's post and seeing how close the rescue men are to the edge ...hope they have a safety harness on. (lucky for the driver that I am not the rescuer or he would have a long sit )
Mornin' Phil! (Ooooo, I'm a poet and don't know it.)

You were doing so good.....but that last one kinda came outta left field!
Anyone care to spend a day searching the net for a B&O or C&O waffle side boxcar for me? I just picked up a Roller Bearing Models Chessie System waffle side box, that needs to be finished. I want a prototype view, so I know the color of the roof, and that its real. If I can't find anything I'll "be forced" to make her a CSX car. Maybe someone can find a CSX car with the Chessie logo showing through, or still in original paint?
