Rex, don't click it! I did and I had a devil of a time getting rid of it. What it does is it signs you up so that each time someone replies to that thread it Emails you to tell you about it. Drove me nuts!

Same here. I made the mistake of doing that when I first became a member here. Like to took me a month to find out how to stop it. My email account wasn't overflowing but I was getting about 30 to 50 a day that I didn't want.

Morning all!

Another warm one on tap today. After hitting 94 at the airport Tuesday, we should be back into the 90's for the 30th time this year. Weather man is calling for 94 today.

Here's an interesting little tidbit. We are now tied for #1 on the list of hottest August temperatures ever recorded in Indianapolis. It'll be a close call over the next several days to see if we break the record set back in the Dust Bowl days of 1936.

Glad I work in an air conditioned office! Speaking of which, I best get moving towards that office!

Later!

Good morning folks

It was only 70 F this morning but the humidity seems to be creep upwards which is making it feel a little uncomfortable. High today is supposed to reach 86 F. It is hard to believe in less than a week the kids will be back in school. Where did the summer go?

No modeling last night.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good Morning Guys ! Wow Flo lots of customers and tips today ! Another nice day here in Sunny Buffalo . And boy is the ground dry .It's suppose to rain overnight but I have my doubts about that one. And it's also the anniversary of that terrible hurricane Katrina . Those peopl down south are stll dealing with the aftermath. Well hope everyone has a real nice day !!! Take care all

Mornin' Bill!

Hey, the place is full! Oh there's a seat over there in the corner. Keep the coffee comin' Flo.

Ran into another retired teacher at the bank yesterday. We both agree that September is now our favorite month.:D :D :D :D School here in NY starts right after Labor Day. BTW, on Labor day this year we will celebrate my Father-in-law's 94th. birthday! Still smokin' cigars and ridin' his scooter at the nursing home. I was supposed to be out at camp helping to clean out a building that will be torn down next week to make way for our new Science and Technology Center. But, I decided I didn't dare drive my truck that far. Not only did the air conditioner quit, but every time I drive it there is a burning smell. I think the compressor on the unit died and the clutch is burning on the unit. I can hear them saying bad things about me right now...........

Got some time to work on the Gazebo yesterday. It is about 60% done. Here is a pic of where it is at now. I was test fitting it on the layout so I snapped a couple photos.

Ray, you best get busy on the gazebo! The town band is on their way down there for the first Ice Cream Social concert! (Looks great man!)

Thanks Jeffery/Phillip. I certainly don't need any more emails. I'll just stay with the "New Posts" click;) :D .

My MR friend Bill came over last night and we hooked up 28 drop feeds for the north section of the layout; that includes yard tracks and spurs. I had been procrastinating (lazy:o ) this project ever since I built the section and for all you worried about having enough feeds, have been operating about 400 feet of track with only two feeds (DCC). YUP, it worked fine but will be more reliable now;) .
SIDE NOTE: Bill and I were talking and thought, "...how weird to have 93 deg with high humidity and think it is a nice day." Hopefully, the 100's are gone for this year.

Tom/Chip: Our schools started two weeks ago, but they get a "Fall Break" with a week off. I believe all of this is working toward a year-round schedule.

Ray: Nice work on the gazebo. I can hear the UMM-PA now:) .

Steve: Glad your back in town.

Nick: How's things with that bridge. Did you ever get the track gauges made?

Now for some lunch: Flo! Hey, Flo! How about some chow over here, I'm starved!

Thank you, Philip and Rex. The contractor says it will be finished in time for Oktoberfest.... I'll have more for next weekend's WPF.

Ray that bandstand is outstanding, i know what you mean about glueing those tiny bits of wood on straight, very hard work.
just found some very strange sores on my arm, got a doc's appointment for next week, after searching for pics of skin cancer i found a perfect match, size, colour, everything, it has the same features as melonoma but is actually a pre cancerous form which is supposed to be easy to treat, hopefully.

Frustration sets in, I'm trying to get the lighting to work on my CN SD70I project for a customer, and only one ditch light lights up (out of 4, 2 front 2 rear). :(

Afternoon everyone, busy in the coffee shop man hope there's room for one more.
Rex I got the gauges made out of acrylic because it was a lot quicker. I'm in progess on getting the bridge line out, had to redo some woodwork for a wider loop exiting the bridge. Man I wish we could swap places I wouldn't mind soldering up you feeder wires and let you and your experience get the bridge and track to work right. Oh well I guess I need the experience myself.

Well, first it had a busted gear. I replaced that and now it has a cracked bearing seat where one of the driver bearings rest making it not want to sit level. It's destined for a park display.

I've been doing some ballasting work today.
