Good Morning Steve , Bill & Jeffrey another beautiful Sunday after lots of wind on Saturday . Lowered the temperature and Humidity so no complains. Going out to enjoy some Polka Music today . Hope everyone else can enjoy the music and day also !!!!
It's Fantasy Football Draft day so my son is using the G5, his wife is at their home using his MacMini, and I have been relegated to using the MacBook for most of the day. It's the least I can do as my son watches, feeds, and cleans up after all my kitties when I am gone for the day (like yesterday). The wedding went off without a hitch and everyone seemed to like the music and danced until the owner told us to stop..... Got back home from Rochester about 11:45 last night. Only downer for the day is that the air conditioning in my truck quit on the way up to the wedding. I love driving in 90+ degree heat and having a dead air conditioner.... Today is much cooler here in the Finger Lakes so I won't sweat quite so much putting equipment away this afternoon. After they get through with the draft, my Daughter-in-law and my granddaughter will be coming over for lunch. So it is going to be a busy day around here.
Afternoon Paul, Jeffery, Ray
another stunning day today, blue sky's, little patchy black clouds, not nice enough to bathe nude but very nice all the same
Afternoon guys.Hey Jeffery,I was wondering,is your railroad freelanced,or does it follow a favorite prototype? All the models that you have posted on here, look great man. I mostly try to stay within the sixties to seventies L&N,Southern, and few other Southeast roads myself. William.
Prototypes I model are the Kansas City Southern Railway (KCS) and Missouri Kansas and Texas (MKT) and are loosely based on the KCS southern division. I aslo have two fictional roads. J & M Mining (J&M) and the Midland Gulf Railway (MG).
A wimpy t-storm came thru my area yesterday, less than 1/4" of rain but a lightning strike knocked out a transformer and left my house without electricity for ~12 hours. Luckily we have a small generator (7000w) that provided enough power for everything except A/C and hot water. Didn't run any trains during this time, but at least the kids were able to watch a DVD movie.
Steve, the Swedes do that all the time - in winter, no less! Melt themselves in a suana then run out and dive into a frozen lake.

It was a hot and humid weekend. Temperatures were near 100 F on Saturday and Sunday was in the high 80’s. Today the humidity seems to be less and the high is expected to be 84 F. It was 68 F when I left the house this morning.
We had a busy weekend with my son having two football games. In the first on Saturday in the brutal heat his team the Drexel Hill Raiders Midget JV Silver team defeated the Haverford Fords 13-0. In the second game on Sunday the Drexel Hill Raiders Midget JV Black defeated Haverford 6-0. He played both games because the coaches have not broken the Midget JV team into the two teams. That will happen this week. We also had to do some grocery shopping and I had to do yardwork. The kids got a guinea pig. They saved up their allowances to buy the cage and all the necessary accessories. The guinea pig they chose was from a rescue. They made mom and dad proud because they could have gotten a “new” one or adopt a homeless one and they went with the homeless one.
With everything else going on I had little time for modeling. I did put some things away and clear the work bench some. I chose my next project. I am going to weather some cylindrical hoppers and some coal hoppers.

Good Morning Bill , Tom & Jeffrey !! Another beautiful day here on the Niagara frontier . A bit tired out from the lawn fete and all the Polka Music, Oh yeah Rex I had a few pints of beer also . You seem to dance better then . Need to get the car inspected today . I don't know how it goes in other states but here your engine is tied into a centrel computer with the DMV and they check your imissions . well my drearded check engine light is on so they have to correct it before it can pass inspection . It couldn't have waited till after no it just went on about a couple of weeks ago. Murphy's law I guess . Anyhow have a real nice day all !!!
Looks like a hot, sticky day in your neck of the woods Jeff.
It's not too bad around here, though it will heat up into the high 80's later as the humidity creeps back in.
I'll be packing up my tent this evening. I got it out this last weekend so the kids could sleep out in the back yard. It actually served a dual purpose as it needed aired out too. Since it's been up for two days I suppose I can pack it up now. It just takes a while because it's so big.
Looking forward to the three day weekend! How about you? What are your plans?
