Morning Gents

Call me Mr. Sunshine. I've decided that if I'm happy, my life is going right and if I'm not, my life is going wrong. So as of now :). Since only I can contol my feelings, I'm not leaving it to chance.

So there.

Afternoon everyone!

We had a wonderful Spring here in the Finger Lakes. It was on a Tuesday this year.

I am spending most of the day just relaxing (if that includes shopping, fixing radio mics, meeting with some guys from the Area Barbershop Chorus association to plan a huge contest they will have in town next month that I am providing sound for.... and cleaning house.) Have rehearsal again tonight and every day until the show next weekend. We are doing CATS BTW and the logistics of sound are complex to say the least. We started to get a good handle on it last night so I think it will go well.

Sounds like you having fun Ray,,,

You Bet! I can honestly say that I have reached that time of life when the things that I want to do are getting in the way of the things I want to do.....:D

Next week I may even have time to do some Model Railroading.

Looks like all of central MD is being blanketed by freezing rain - which means I'll get to spend an extra hour or more driving home this evening. Loads of fun - NOT!

Hi all,

This could be an interesting weekend for me, I might actually get my layout setup for DCC [long overdue I realize ]. I found out from a thread across the street, that I have all the basic ingredients: a command station, programming throttle, a leftover MRC powerpack and an Atlas Gold Series loco. I was thinking I'd have to completely rewire my layout to do this but apparently that's not the case. I'm both excited, and dreading it at the same time (never could decipher those Digitrax manuals). The command station has been mothballed for almost 7 years, hope it still works...

That's great news, Ken. I wish you could hang with some of the folks down here for a while. The Digitrax system basic operation becomes second nature very quickly when someone helps you learn your way around. Your view of the hobby may well be transformed!

Atta' boy, Ken! Soon you will be bitten and have loads of fun (not to mention more realistic operating). You run into any problems just yell, as we will be here.

Thanks Eric/Rex! The irony of it is, there was a Digitrax expert in my area - but he moved to a retirement home on the other side of the state last year. Oh well I suppose I'll muddle my way thru it somehow...

Ken, you will find the learning curve with Digitrax to be quite gentle I think. You will have to look a few things up at first, but it really is not that hard to learn. Good luck, have fun, and know that we are here to help you if you have problems.

Hi ALl ! Bit late but better late I guess Looks like we go a NorthEasterner our way . Snow falling with an Advisary straight through Sunday. Hope the people here in Buffalo for the NCAA Tournament seen snow before bcause their gonna see some now. Well just wanted to say Hi to everyone and have a nice start to the weekend !!!!!

cold beer and the TV is about all I've done today:D

New house is progressing well, the guttering fascia and roof go on this week, then I have to buy beers for the builders (roof shout, a tradition I'm told)

been working on a plan for the 10x11 foot room, might show you fellas one day when I feel it's right so you can tell me where I went wrong;)

KenL congrats on the DCC you'll love it.

Another high rise near a train station

Good morning everyone.

The job I been going to for the last 15 months is almost finished. Another two high rises built a few blocks from the train station. Seems to been the trend here in Westchester county for the last ten years. The company I work for has another two to do next year. I should be retired by then. I attached a photo of the tower we did last year. The photo was taken from it's twin. The one we're all most finished with.

They're doing the same here in San Diego, I swear there's more Condo's in high rises downtown then there are houses in the City!
