Well We've got a cat now! I'll post pics later once she relaxes a bit and stops hiding in the bathroom.

Hi everyone!
I've been busy putting new carpet down in my boat. I had started this project 2 years ago and put off the front deck until now. I have the carpet on the metal flooring and only have to re-install it in the boat. The bad part of it all is you have to remove all the old carpet glue before you put the new on. A remover gets some of it, but a wire brush on a drill has to get the rest.
Now, maybe I can get back to more important things like making a design decision on my steel mill location. ;) :)

Paul: Eat your heart out. We had a high of 82 w/cloudy sky. Rain tomorrow and cooler this weekend. Would you believe the trees are turning green with some decoratives flowering!

Morning all!

Rex Whow! Are you also doing a "make over "on your boats/ships in scale HO? Didn't know you had them too on your layout. You've got space for it on your layout?:p
Yeah, it is the weather...spring ... able to go outside and smell nature...and looking for new impressions for the layout and make pictures of them. You( I;) ) think always: I haven't got enouhg impressions...
NickB That's a nice plan you have now! Indeed this one isn't" too difficult " to built as the one I showed you...:) I think, I am shure, that this one, to start with, will give you the time and possebility to improve your skills concerning mrr and it is a plan, as you wrote, that could be easy made in modules!
Looking forward to see the first pictures of it( may be already this year?:D )
SteveB Great avatar you have now!! And thanks for the compliments about the garden:o I did not show you a picture of the garden at this time because it is a mass too!!:p
Chocolate? 1/2 lb bar:eek: Hope for the other members at home that the "noise" will stay inside and won't get out during theirpresence....:p

Morning Jos and BIll, yea I will definately have pics this year to show and ask questions as I go Jos. Already have a few of the module frames setting in my garage as we speak. Looks like it's going to be another nice day here in the mid to high 70s.

Mornin' yall! Rainin' fairly hard here. Just some java for me, Flo.

Today's gonna be tough, real tough.

One of my son's best friends, from their childhood, died from complications of Hodgkins Disease. He was 22. He was originally diagnosed at 15, and had been in remission since 16. He had been at college and was supposed to graduate this year. He wanted to be a preacher. My son is real tore up about it. They were in elementary, middle, and high school together. Played on the same baseball team for years together. We didn't even know that he had relapsed, and just found out about it last night from our minister.

That's tough Carey. I was going to complain about loosing my 19" monitor and having to use a 15 inch. But that doesn't compare to what you are going through.

Carey - my condolences about your son's pal. :( It seems so horribly unfair, but I'm sure such things happen for a reason that we mortals can't yet understand...

This just in:
Those of you who are [or were] patrons of the Coffee Shop across the street at MR, may know Bob "Duke" Dukert. Well, his father passed away last night. Another WWII veteran leaves our world....

(Just thought I should pass that along)

Carey Sorry to here about that, it's terrible to lose somebody so young to Hodgkins Disease, i lost an apprentice to it in 1989, he was only 18, my prayers are with you all.

Ditto for me Carey, not a nice thing to happen at any age, our thoughts are with you guys too.

Ken.

Carey, my deepest sympathies to your son's friend's family and all who knew and cared for him. I lost a cousin to Hodgkin's Disease many years ago.

I have endured 5 hours of committee meetings today (Church Camp Program Committee and our Scout Council's new Science and Tech Camp) and have a little over an hour before I have to get to the high school for a rehearsal of Cats. I think there is water in the basement (I am going to check to see how deep in a minute). There was last night......... It does run into the sump and gets pumped outside but still a bit of a mess. All of our local creeks and streams are over their banks today from the warm weather melting all the snow and the rain yesterday.

Ray better get those waders out,,, all those meetings would drive me nut's, i can't sit still for more than an hour at a time.

Ken LThanks for informing us about Bob's father.

Just got another new Bachmann truck, this one is a bogie bolster truck with a load of rail on top

Oh, quick thought. If you're wondering about the state of the America, we're to the point of Blurring out the chest of female manikins on tv now.

That's quite a blow to the male manequin viewers I'm sure.

Look at the bright side. Now that the UK has entered the 19th century, you can visit Rock Ridge and Train City in its heyday.

Well no pics, but those manikins you see in clothing stores, to display the clothing, they were on a show called "How its Made" and they blurred out the chest of the female manikin. Just like they would if it was some female human.
