Morning all!

Seems this cold of mine might be letting up! I feel quite a bit better this morning. I'm still not 100%, but maybe 90%. I'm alol for that.

So it's like only going to get up to the mid to high 40's today. I'm so ready for real spring to get here. I'd like to start walking around the lake again and stuff.

My wife and son continue to improve, and soon they'll be chasing me around again. I told the ladies that have been coming over and cooking dinner that I think we're back on track, so I thanked them and sent them on their way last night. They were an awesome help, but now that things are getting back to normal and I'm not so sick any more, they need to be with their families, not mine. They were an incredible blessing to have around though.

I guess thats about it for around here.

Later!

Good morning folks

It was a chilly 41 F as I trudged out to work. Our high today will be 57 F and it will be sunny. Of course more rain is coming for the next two or three days. Last evening was gorgeous once the rain stopped. The temperature got up to 73 F and it felt like spring.

No modeling last night. Tonight is Cub Scout den meetings so I don’t think any modeling will get done.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good Morning all!

Its a nice sunny 32°F right now in the Finger Lakes. High will be 40° they say. It's still a bit breesy with wind between 20 and 30 MPH.

Philip glad to hear everyone is recovering nicely.

Tom, modeling? What's that? (I have been so busy with other items that I haven't done a thing on the layout for 3 weeks now. I have been working on the clinic for this Saturday. I guess that counts.

Already been out and about today. My son is having a new shower and tub installed today so yesterday I drove to the Canandaigua Lowes to pick up the materials for him..... Twice. He assured me it would all fit into my Pick up truck. NOT! So I had to drive back home and hook on to my equipment trailer and tow that to Canandaigua. (Would have been cheaper for me to pay to have it delivered.....) Anyway, this morning I dropped off the stuff in my truck at his house. (That is a good excuse to go over and see my granddaughter, so I didn't mind.)

Good Morning all! You Northern boys need to come on down and join us in short-sleeve weather (and loads of pollen). Everything is getting green and all the flowering trees are in bloom. BTW: At least we have pollen. Last year it was so dry the trees and bushes didn't do very well. Hopefully, we will be spared a drought this year.

Time to get back to my depot clean-up. We have another Alabama Rail Gang (ARG) meet this Saturday. I should have about 9-10 operators showup: including our famous rail photographers and historians, Eric and Trey (LGM). I am going to try something a little different this time by using cheapy walkie-talkies and Railroad&Company software for dispatcher control of the routes. Maybe this and my new block detection will prevent our usual pasture meets  :D . I wish that my signals were installed to help out, but I only have them working in the software and not physically on the layout. Jeeze, all I need to do is run some ribbon wires and they would work. (Just not enough time in a working day:rolleyes: :D .)

:) Ya'll have a good one!:)

Good afternoon, Everyone.

Rex, we had almost an inch of rain yesterday, which settled the pollen down some. It is nice to have a rainy spring and see everything looking healthy. The lawn is starting get out of hand though so I need to get out there and take care of that. Sounds like your ops session will be a lot of fun

Phillip, glad to hear you're feeling better. How high was your fever. If it was over 101.9 then some strain of flu is more likely than a cold. If that's the case and your son hasn't gotten this yet, it would be a good idea to talk to your doctor about getting him started on Tamiflu. It's not really worth the cost to take it if you already have the flu since it only reduces symptoms by one day but it is good at preventing people who are within three days of exposure from getting a full blown case.

It's good to see you guys who are involved in Scouting taking things like the Order of the Arrow seriously and having appropriate ceremonies. I still remember mine as a Cub Scout and it made a profound impression on me.

Sounds like the weather up north improved at least long enough to remind y'all that winter's almost over. We've been very lucky since the tornado on Feb. 17. No severe weather but lots of rain, just what we needed. It's 79 and partly cloudy right now and we may get a little more rain later today. Even with all the rain we've had, we are still about 15 inches in the hole so I'll take anything we can get, minus tornado's.

I've done zero modeling in the past several days. Seems like there's always something else that needs to be done around the house that take priority. Being retired is more work than I thought it would be. :)

We had a local police officer killed in a single car accident. He was a young guy, only seven months on the force, and was responding to a domestic disturbance call. It was raining hard and I suspect he was driving too fast and hydroplaned off the road into a tree. He probably wasn't wearing a seat belt. It's the kind of mistakes that young officers make. He survived two tours in Iraq and lost his life here. Sad. His funeral is Friday and I'll have to get my uniform on and go to the funeral. It's an unwritten law that you always go to the funeral of a fallen officer no matter what jurisdiction you're from. I've been to way too many of these over the past 30 years. :(

Good morning folks

Spring, huh? Temperature was 31 F on the way in. I even encounter ice on the roadway at a spot where the water company is working and apparently a pipe was leaking onto the roadway overnight. High today is supposed to be 56 F but as usual we have rain coming.

No modeling. We had Cub Scout Den Meetings last night. I spent the time going through the Scout Closet at the church searching for things we can use for the Arrow of Light Ceremony.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good Morning Bill & Tom ! things are looking up spring just might be here at last !It's 26 going up to 54 How's that for a temperature change ?Philip that's good news about your family , Jim sorry to hear that about the young officer. Tragic no matter what the cirumstances . only hope that his family can find peace. Ray isn't that just like children. just have to love them. I figured my federal and state taxes with Turbo Tax. Got everything done and sent the federal in because I BROKE even for the first time ever so I thought. The state was being sent in later since I owed them again. I missed entering my personal info at the beginning of the program. I went back and entered all of the pertinent info and now owe the feds over $400 but the state payment dropped to about half. DARN and double DARN So today we write the checks for both and get them out of the way. I hate to have to send in an amended return but do not want to get a non payment notice and late penalty. Next time I will pay very close attention to what the heck I am doing.

Mornin' everyone!

I'm off to school. They have me doing lights and sound for a visiting dance company today.

See you all later. Coffe to go Flo!

Morning all!

Not much going on here, just healing family, you know......

Got some time spent last night on a video game with the boy. He's getting good, but I still beat him.

Well, gotta run! The work thing is getting in the way again!

Later!

ARGERS have a good weekend guys

another mindless day at work with the mindless gimps and underlings, they can drive a saint insane

Hi everyone! Flo, how about a quick cup of joe for the evening crew.
Finally, I have the Depot ready for the ARG Op session Saturday. All I need to do tomorrow is get the paperwork ready. :)

I'll say it again and for the umth-teen time, "I'll never let so many things get out of place again. I will always keep a clean and neat Depot, putting things away in their proper place after each use." (and cows fly!):D :D

Good morning everyone and a VERY HAPPY FRIDAY TO YOU ALL!!! :D

Been a long week around here so I am extremely happy for the time off now. Couple of days to regain my sanity.

Really foggy out this morning, looks like around 1/4 mile or so visibility which makes even the short drive to work an interesting one.

Had a letter in our front door yesterday to inform us about our road getting reconstructed starting Monday. We will not have access to our driveway for at least 7 weeks, probably longer considering how the crews "work" around here.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good Morning Bill & Carl ! Another rainy day here on the Niagara Frontier ! At least it's not snow ! I'll have a quick cup of coffee and get going . Hope you all have a great day !!!

Mornin' all!

Today looks to be a typical Indiana early spring day, with temps in the 40's and 50's, and rain, but this weekend is looking to be another story! Check this out.........

http://www.wish-tv.com/weather/graphics/5day.jpg

I just might have to break out the wheelchair and take the wife for a spin or two around the neighborhood! I could use the exercise.

Matter of fact, I think that will be my entire plan for the whole weekend! Other then that, and church, a whole lotta nothin' sounds real good!

So whats up with you all?
