Prayers for the victims of 9/11

Afternoon Bill!

Ken, Which building is the house and which is the Layout???? :D Great property. I bet you love it there.

Fergie, my lawn won't quit growing this year! Any ideas? Maybe if I buy a barrel of Roundup and get the sprayer out. I have mowed more this year than I have in the last 3 years combined and there is no end in site.

In rememberance of 9/11..... May all those whose lives were so drastically changed that terrible day find peace!

Hello crew,

A short lunchtime message

Steve - Those scarecrow's are just the right size, I could seat two of them in my car so I can use the HOV lanes when commuting to/from work <LOL>

Fergie - sorry to hear of your bad experince with the "con" 'tractor, hope everything gets straightened out soon. Reinforces my generally cynical attitude toward these ads that promise all those free "extras" when you buy the product, with a micro-print legalese disclaimer at the bottom. Their lawyers tell them it's OK to do that, they are within the letter of the law...

KeNZ - I'll have to wait til I get back to my home computer to view your property, I can't install GoogleEarth on the company laptop. Sorry to hear about the car wreck, s**t happens I guess, hope Carol recovers quickly.

. . .
A moment of silence for the 9-11 victims, then it's back-2-work time for me; C-yaz

It was the first day at school for our Matthew today with his big brother, not to be left out of the action gemma has also started pre school

One word...

ASHPHALT

Pave the whole darn thing!:D I've seen it done an if black isn't your colour then paint it green or whatever:p

More and more people in this area are replacing their grass with pea stones (rounded pebbles) or bark mulch as we are no longer allowed to use herbicides or pesticides and the weeds are taking over. Some really nice gardens as a result but I fear very labour intensive.

Oh Boy I beat Bill this A.M.! Had to take Lisa's Aunt to the airport this morning, which meant getting up at 4:30 Ughhh!!

To make things worse when I opened the door going into the garage and turned on the light I saw a little fury thing with a long tail and it wasn't a mouse. Time for the Ferginator to go into action! DIE You Little Varmit, DIE

Morning All:
Ray: The solution to your lawn is Cattle. Now for a small fee I'll load up say 10 head and turn them loose on your lawn. They not only cut the grass but apply fertalizer to. Some deal.
Fergie: I've had my war with the varments and I may still have one. I thought I heard it say " Restance is futile. You will be assimalated. "
The worst part is that it is almost impossible to stop the corrision on the rail where they have done there business.
Not much going on with the MRR stuff. I'm working on the mine head for the Cliffs shaft on my breaks at work. It seems like when I get home there is so much that needs doing that I spend very little time in the basement.
Almost time to go and punch in. Another day at Six Flags Over Texas.

Afternoon everyone,,,
Fergie did you get him or was it a she,,,

Nice early start today, up at 4.45 to do a test run in a prototype truck round the UK some, i did 253 miles up hill and down dale with some city running for good measure, I also used it as an excuse to take some industry snaps on the way round.

gotta go pick up the children from school

Mornin' Bill!

Fergie, I have considered your "solution" but at the price the stuff I think it would be more cost effective to use Paul's idea, "Ray: The solution to your lawn is Cattle. Now for a small fee I'll load up say 10 head and turn them loose on your lawn. They not only cut the grass but apply fertalizer to. Some deal." And, at the end of the year I get to have some prime roast beef.......;)

Sorry about the critter problem fergie. I could lend you a cat.... I am assuming when you say "it wasn't a mouse" that was larger?

I called my son last night and found out that they had to put down their little dog over the weekend. She was a very sweet little thing and ended being diabetic this last year. She ended up also fighting cancer and an infection. They are heartbroken right now. You do get attached to pets........

Fergie - check out the video on this Weather Channel link, it may be a solution to your critter problem! (fast forward past the opening commercial)
http://www.weather.com/multimedia/v...642&collection=videocoll8&from=wxcenter_video

Paul - I'd love to try your lawn idea except for one minor problem: My two youngest girls insist on walking around barefoot outdoors

Steve - nice shot of the young 'uns, I guess now you won't have to worry about day care as much eh?

KeNZ - I finally GoogleEarth'd your estate, the lawn looks perfectly fine to me! I do have another question though: I thought that since you are on an island, there would be some major port facilities in ChristChurch or another nearby city, but I couldn't see any on the South Island. Where exactly is the main port town thru which you get stuff from the rest of the globe?

Later,

Ken L why stop with water,,, Mmm

I saw the consultant this week and now i have to get an MRI brain scan because he thinks there's another problem in the old grey matter, oh well at least it's sunny

Good morning all! Yea, we are finally getting a good soaking of rain and maybe in a week I can join you in cutting grass:D . There isn't much of it left so it shouldn't be much of a chore. What a shame: from a thick, green, ankle deep carpet, to a brown desert almost void of life. Hopefully, it will pull out of it and be strong enough to survive over the winter.

Ray: From the sound of it, you best send Fergie a BIG cat. I am very sorry to hear about your son's little buddy. I still hurt from losing my Golden Retriever.

Fergie: You guys getting heavy rains from the 'cane?

NZKen: Again I will say that you have a very beautiful place. Looks like you are close to the coast and also to the mountains. But, and after careful observation, I would suggest you start wearing pants outside. "The eye in the sky is watching.":D :D

Paul: I would bet that working at Six Flags is very interesting.

Steve: Your children are absolutely precious. As everyone has said, they do grow up in a hurry and before you know it, this picture will be of your grandchildren.

Josh: This photo is for you.
When all else fails...:D :D

Does anybody actually ride that thing Rex:eek: ,,, now i know where the Roll tide thing comes from;)
I the children are fantastic, full of mischief but fantastic all the same, Gemma is at the "Lets feed the DVD player jam on toast" or "let's clean the toilet with a full bottle of shampoo" at least the rat's down the drains will look pretty
