Ralph 'Bucky' Phiilips is in police custady in NewYork State. He killed one state trooper and wounded two others. he's been on the run in the backwoods of New York for over 5 months.Just glad that no one else was hurt. OLDGETTYSK Ohlooks like the $325,000 award goes unclaimed

Great news! Glad they finally got him. People over in western NY can easier tonight!

Evening All: I'm just about done in tonight. I've been cleaning up under a pecan tree down by the U.P. tracks. I spent 3 hours yester day after work and another 6 hours this afternoon.Having bare dirt to pick up the nuts makes it much easyer. I should keep the area clean but time is lacking. When I retire things will be different.
No mrring today but plenty of train watching. Those U.P. trains are burning up the rails when they come by. Bad part is we have to haul hay across those tracks. Believe me we practice, Stop, Look, & Listen.
Well I'm off to bed. Have a Good Night All

Good morning all,

Sun's just creeping above the horizon here in MD but I can't see it because of the fog. Time for the kind of breakfast I normally don't have time to enjoy on weekdays, a Western omelet.

Getty and Ray - glad they captured the maniac up in your area. We had one hiding close to my neighborhood a year ago, cop cars were parked at every street entrance and helos circled overhead continously. Finally after 48 hours the guy despaired and shot himself through the head.

Paul - are those pecans edible? I'm facing a similar task, except with apples. A branch split and fell off of an apple tree in my back yard and my son and his friend have slowly been clearing away the debris. Vicky has made a few apple pies out of it so far...

I'll be busy with Honey Dues today, with a lawn that needs mowed, and two kids with back-2-back soccer games. But I can bring along the 5 new turnouts I'm planning to install, they need to be painted and I can do that anywhere! :D

Toodles...

Hi gang,

Fergie, hope Lisa recovers from the twin broken arms soon.

Another 4-6 weeks if all goes right but ir's no picnoc here as I feel like I'm under siege. Dad's still in the "General" as it looks like the thinneres may have thinned things out too much but he looks like he's on the mend. And of course there's the beloved contractor who's putting off the renovations until mid October as "we" didn't sign the contract yet... (This is the second stall tactic in the last month)That's because they couldn't get it right and were suppose to have made the ammendments over 7 weeks ago...

With the building boom as it is right now to get someone else in, we would be looking at mid Novemeber now if we were lucky.

Anyway I digress... Maybe I'll get some MR'ing in sometime soon.

Fergie

Mornin' Bill!

Fergie, sometimes it doesn't rain but it pours! It sounds like you have several days ganging up on you at the moment. Good luck with everything and do some MRRing. It is good for the blood pressure......

I am off to a party for our retiring Executive Presbyter (similar to a bishop in many Christian denominations). They are holding it at our camp which is his favorite place on earth. He will be sorely missed. I spent yeasterday morning helping to plant a huge concrete cross which is the main present we are giving him. A chairman of the properties committee is a professional sculpter and created it for him. I will post a photo later.

Fergie My friend at the back of our house has a wife with a broken radius, and he won't let her drive the kids to school and rightly so,,, so he makes her walk them 5 miles, he say's the 10 miles a day excercise will do her good,,, i laughed for ages when he told me this, I am NOT surgesting anything like that for Lisa BTW.

Decided to divert from the list of job's after mowing the lawn, i put a new window in the garage, i don't know what was in the bricks but it was hard as iron, the poor electric breaker was sweating a bit.

Good Morning gang!
Today is another game day in T-town with Vanderbilt coming in. We will stay out of the traffic and watch it on the tube (2:30pm,FoxSouth Sports Network)
I had Carey over Wednesday to help me get my track down for the new new extension's yard. I think my design this time will make things even more smooth for operating. I still have plenty to do with the industial spurs and etc., but at least I can now see the end of the ...uh...tunnel! It is always fun to do these big projects with someone. We had a fun time with good conversation filled with big lies and just plain old comradery.

Fergie: I agree with Ray, "...you should do some MR.". Sort of helps to get your mind on the right 'track'.;) :D

Getty/Ray: Too bad 'Bucky' didn't try to shoot it out. Now, New York will have to wait for 10-15 years before they can serve out real justice.

KenL: How about sending your green grass clippings down to me. I can use something green on my yard.:( :D

Paul: When the pecans fall, just box them up and send them over to me. I am overdue for a pecan pie. Ummm! Good!

Steve: If Fergie tried what your neighbor did, he would be put on board ship for a very long time. FYI: In the future when you have a long list of things to do, you should call a meeting to set a time for a meeting to discuss the order of priorities and determine if you need a meeting to discuss having any more meetings. By the time you go through all of that you won't care if you get anyting done. :D :D

Hello folks, Beautiful Sunday here lovely Spring frost and a sunny day.

Went to Jan's Mum yesterday to pick up wee Sharlot the Starlet, Carol managed to roll her into a dirt bank on a shingle road when avoiding some low flying ducks!! She was stuck hanging in the seat belt for a minute or two, before climbing out the passenger door. She walked away ok just some bruising.

I'm going to wreck her and sell off the good parts.

Evening All:
Ken: You bet they are edible. If I'm not carefull Mary Ann and I will eat as much as we bag up. I've got a couple of car loads going to Ed in Mexico. They are being routed via the D.S.& S.E in Duluth. I'll just ad acouple car loads for you and you can have the Marquitte pick them up at the D.S.& S.E. ore dock in Huron Bay.
Rex: I'll send a car load for you but you'd better watch Ken. He's lible to hi jack yours.
We hauled hay today so I'm bushed. If retirement is like the last 2 days I may keep on working. I get to go back to work tomorrow so I can get some rest.
I'm going to head for the basement and see what I can get done. Have a good Night All

*note* If you're looking to buy a motorcycle, DO NOT bring your wife with you when you stop by to see a freind in the hospital, who wrecked on a motorcycle. Not a good thing...

On a side note, my AC models 53' AP Spine car is here, now to assemple it, slowly. As I work on the SD50F att he same time. I've gotten into a good project swing this past week with the craftsman kit.

morning all / evening Ken
Ken look's like carol was lucky it was only a dirt bank, trees are much worse, give her our wishes ken
Josh No, it 's not a good idea to take the other half along to see a motor cycle accident victim when your after one yourself, whoops

Mornin' Bill! A little late actually......

Paul, if youv'e got any of those pecans left over, ship a boxcar up here to the Finger Lakes. Ship them to the Lehigh Yard at Sayre PA. and I'll send a Mike down there to pick them up. Be sure to back date the order to 1925, OK?

Ken, sure glad no one was hurt in the accident. You can always get her a new car..........

As I posted yesterday, I spent the day at a goodbye/retirement party at camp for our Executive Presbyter. His big present was a Cross in his honor that will overlook Seneca Lake. The spot is one of his favoite at camp and will be henceforth known as Sam's Point.

Couple of photos. The first is Rev. Sam Edwards officially putting his hand on the hand print on the cross, and the second is the sculpter and his wife with the cross.

That's Great Ray That's a great honor for him i recon.

did any of you guy's in the deep south feel the strong mag 6 earthquake today in the gulf, it was 250 miles off florida and 320 miles from New Orleans at 08.56 local time at epicenter

Well for a change today we went to the scarecrow festivle at Charnock richard, it was fun and games all day with different events and a BBQ, It was the first time anything like this has happened in the village and it was amazing just how many people turned up, a huge hit. I made a May pole for the kids to dance round, basically it's a pole with lots of coloured ribbons hanging down and they dance round it till the ribbons all wrapped up, simple.

Here's a drunk scarecrow

And a truly scary scarecrow, this would even scare the devil himself, i think it's a mother-law-special

and lining up for the top scarecrow prize

Good Morning All

Just a quickie as today is already "Crash and Burning". Said good riddance to the contractor as he was less than honest in divulging full scope of work as we had originally been told the Wood Stove Chimney was included and found out it wasn't and that was the last straw. So Ccccc-Ya! So they are out a sizable amount of cash n ot to mention a letter let I'll be drawing up and forwarding to BBB and Nova Scotia Home Builders Assoc.

Ray: An excellent gift indeed and one that will stand for years to come as a testiminonial for all to appreciate.

Steve: Always knew the Brits were a bit peculiar! Wait now I stem from that blood line! Tat would explain a lot!

Well time to weed and take my frustrations out on the unwanted growth!

Later All

Fergie
