Hey Ken: Drop me aline at my E-mail. I found the plans for the MV Buffalo. They are in 1/16in scale. I can get them enlarged to HO if you want. I don't know how much but will check for you.

Welcome, Paul! Couldn't help noticing your road name, since I was born in Duluth. Don't happen to have the lift bridge on your layout, do you? :)

Hi Claudia: Thanks for the welcome. I'm not modeling the Twin Ports portion of the railroad. I'm doing the the area in northern Michigan. I'd like to do the Aireal Lift Bridge. If you look up the Iron Range and Huron Bay railroad you will see the area that I'm doing. Are you sitll in the area?

Good morning crew!

Nothing to talk about MRR-wise, I have too much on my mind to be able to enjoy it at the moment.

Paul, great to see you over here, I sent the email to you as requested. I see you've met some of the gang already. Claudia's into graden RR'ing, maybe you could tell her about your Texas-style "garden" [ranch] railroad?:D And I'm sure you remember Rex and Ray (a.k.a. "howmus") from across the street...

Carey, that really sux about those hospitals not being "ready"...I sure hope that at least they paid for your training and travel so far? At least now perhaps you can resume work on the Alabama Central.

Steve, glad to hear construction is underway on YV-II, it's been a long year hasn't it!

C-yaz...

[LATER EDIT:] Hey Fergie -

Hello everyone,,,
Welcome to the sunny side of the street Paul
Ken it feel's good it feels soooo good to be back in the driving seat.
Fergie I thought it was only one wrist Lisa broke,,, your in for a rough time with both arm's in plaster:D

On the train front,,, this is a section from our club news letter:

Moving on now to a bit of railway news.

Hornbys new DCC system is now on sale.

Had a little trial with it, very easy to use and well priced.

Looks like it could bring DCC to the masses.

Watch shows and mags for reports.

Quickly on the heels of this are the new locos from Bachmann and Hornby.

These are DCC chipped and also include on board sound systems.

The 37 we have tried was very entertaining, particularly all the different effects that are produced.

Warley should be fun because this will be the launch of both ranges head to head.

No, we relocated to So. California MANY years ago. My last extended visit to Duluth was in the 50s when (unless my memory plays tricks) they still ran steam to the Iron Range (Hibbing?). The tracks were a stone's throw from where I stayed.

Thanks for the tip. I'll enjoy "exploring" the Iron Range and Huron Bay RR.

Thanks for the welcomes. Ken Larsen let me in. I'll try and behave so don't be too hard on him. As soon as I get alittle time I'll fill in my profile.
Claudia: Ken is talking about my 7 1/2inch gauge railroad. I have about 1400 feet of track down with another 1600 planned. I have a gas powered SW and a gas railcar in standard gauge and a 4in scale live steam 0-4-0 for narrow gauge. One of the nice things about that size is I let a real pro do the sceanery. God.
I'd better be going. We had an anoucement that we're getting a new GM here at Six Flags Over Texas. Fortunately he's a person that everyone has been working with for 7 years and really likes. The only thing is today between the mechanics and the meeting I've not been able to get a thing done except get my tools to the job site.
Take Care

Evening All:
Claudia try AVWRR. That should get you into the web sight. The Annetta Valley & Western is my friends railroad. He got me into the large stuff back in 1972. I spent most of a year building his first railroad. He had just bought a place down the road from me and I never met him. I first met him by chance at his fathers nursing home. He managed it and had a show room in the front room of a house that they used for offices. It was then I found out that he had bought the place. Anyway 34 years later he has almost 1 mile of main line on 9 acres.
I am on dial up and not very good with a computer so pictures maybe awhile coming. If you would like I can E-mail you a few. Just drop me a line with your address. Goes for the rest of you also. Just don't hold your breath.
My wife and I have a small ranch so there isn't alot of free time. We have a cow calf operation. That's where we run cows to have calfs. We get the calfs to 6 months and sell them. We aren't getting rich.
Well I get wordy so I'll back on out and head for bed.
Good Night All
