Steve: That is a Los Angeles Motor Hotel. Oh yeah, I have a ladder ordered for Carey to get into the cab:p .

Rex sure hope Carey isn't scared of heights
No need for a ladder there Rex!:p And I ain't afraid of those rather low heights. Since I retired from Nursing, I've worked parttime at GATS,(Great American Train Show), Gold Spike Shows, NMRA, etc all kinds of shows with one of our club members who drives a BIG RED GMC 4-door, dualie diesel pickumup. 10 cylinder diesel, on demand FWD, heavy duty 6 speed Allison Transmission, leather interior, heated seats, individual climate controls, and a 600watt Bose stereo system. We would attend various shows from the Quad Cities, (Rock Island-Moline area), to Raliegh NC, to Mesquite, TX and most points in between. :D Pulling a 16ft dual axle trailer loaded with trains to sell. After the shows were over, and we were loaded up, I'd be the one driving home, with the stereo blasting out everything from Tangerine Dream to JS Bach.:D:D

So I can say without a doubt, I could handle Rex's small F-150 easily!;):p

But he did have the good taste to buy a good truck!:D

Why heck, just this afternoon and after I pulled an 18 wheeler to the gas station, I pulled a stuck GMC just like that out of a creek. Fancy stereo didn't help him out one bit. :p .

FORD TOUGH!
"I love my truck!"

Tangerine Dream:confused: Carey that's kinda slightly off the register for a mature crowd isn't it? Not that I'd know as I (as the kids use to call them the big black 12" CD's) have a TD album.

My youth what can I say:o

Well time to cut the grass and pick weeds as "we" go on vacation next week I will bring back any relevant pictures.

Ken: If you get a chance to read this I'm sorry your presentation, as I am to understand, was not well attended, which is unfortunate as the PP presentation is very well done, actually it's excellent!

Later all and happy thoughts

Fergie

Hi everyone. With all this talk of trucks, I thought I'd show ya'll our new piddlings to make play money. Parking lot restripes! LGM and I did our first one yesterday... Keep in mind, this is a restripe of what was already there, I would have done the layout a little differently...

Fergie

I heard one of their earlier efforts in college one year at a dorm party when, lets say I wasn't in full pocession of my faculties, but some of the music was outstanding,;) (esp. in that state) but hadn't heard any since then until the guy I was working for loaded the CD player with some TD on our way home one night.:) I didn't think they were still around!

4AM on a lonely road in KY, MS or TN, any music is good!:D My personal choices still lean toward the classics like Bach, Beethoven, Ravel, Copeland. But TD rediscovered is very, very, good, seems more jazz like than before.

Maybe we can get Rex to play some in his new truck when he tows those 18 wheelers!:p:D:rolleyes:

AHhhhh Bach! Actually as long as it's not Country or Opera I can enjoy it!

Ok I don't mind some country. Though I do like the Blues and Classic Jazz:D

Did you know that Bach didn't write any Operas, but he did write many cantatas that just as long and several Oratorios that were just as boring. (courtesy of Victor Borge - one of my heros!)

On another note.... Which one of you guys hid my AR1 reversing unit. I know where I left it and it is gone. I have just spent the last 4 hours cleaning my layout rooms, my desk, looking in every box, shelf, and cubby hole for it. AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH! I am ready to hook up the wiring in the staging area which is also a return loop and the AR1 is nowhere to be found. I know I bought one with the last DCC equipment I got. So where is it!

(sorry!):o

Nice paint job Grandeman, looks a tad lighter then the blue I normaly see, but hey!

BTW, I just realized I have a HECK of alot of posts!

You got me there, Steve. When I was working in Thailand many years ago, we used Landrovers and those things really were as tough as a tank.;)

Got a great 3 days starting tomorrow; my 10 year old Grandson is coming to visit us. We haven't seen him in two years. I understand that he is already talking about Grandpa's trains. I've been busy the entire weekend getting things cleaned up and the track ready to go. Just know we will have a good time!:) :)

EDIT: I almost forgot. We finally got a downpour of rain today. Only second since Mother's Day. Would you believe that I finally broke down and started watering my yard...yesterday. Go figure!!

The handicap blue looks darker than in the pics for some reason... Still, it is a bit lighter than some other brands.

Ray;

I'll tell ya where your AR1 is when ya tell me where my F&C battleship gon kits are!:D:p

I generally can tolerate any music BUT whiney country. I prefer classical, any of the old masters, like Handel, Brahms, yadda, yadda, but do "slide" back into heavy metal and progressive rock and jazz on occasion like Grand Funk, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, MJQ, Dave Brubeck!
