Well, I went out and bought myself a new engine. No, not a locomotive but an engine that came with this pickum-up. This is my first all new truck in over 45 years of driving. This will certainly put a dent in my MR purchase power:D .

"I love my truck!"
:D :D

Now you have a great excuse to join that modular railroad club that "needs help getting to train shows.":p I mean she can't turn you down now

Thanks guys for the compliments and loads of laughter.
I just realized how the truck dwarfs me in the photo. (Shut-up CJ! I don't want to hear it.:p :D ) Now let those danged U of Bama students try running me off the road. Yum! Yum! I already had the itch to buy a new truck since the wife and I want to get back into camping and when I found out that Ford had 0% interest for financing until the end of this month, I leaped into action.

Stretch Limo with a truck bed. That's funny...I like it. Hahahaha!

Rex - looks like you picked up a mighty fine pickM'up!:D It even carries people, what'll they think of next!

Well my Philly presentation came and went. Lotsa vacant seats, not standing-room-only like the guy ahead of me. I truly believe that the number of people who show up at a clinic is inversely proportional to the amount of time one spends preparing for it:rolleyes:

I'm headed out to the wilderness for awhile, no internet there, so I won't be able to chat with you all for awhile :( Take care

Thanks Ken. It sounds like your a bit disappointed with the turnout for your presentation. I am very sorry, but maybe the guy before you just wore all of them out.;)
I can guarantee that you will have a good turnout here.:)

Hello gent's

and Claudia,

Rex is that a very big truck or are you just kneeling up;)
you will be able to help Carey shift the dirt at his friends now, what do you say Carey, mind you it's a long way up to the truck's bed, does it come with a ladder:D

Just getting ready for a trip to the "Diesel day" on the East Lancs railway with the young'uns, should be good fun riding behind freight engines.

Kenhave a great trip Ken, the break will do you good

Ken, I bet the people who stayed for your presentation loved it! Be sure to share on line. We want to see it!

Rex, I keep going up to the Dodge Dealership here in town and suggesting to the owner that Dodge should make a Dakota that is a real truck. All they have to do is chop off the cab right behind the drivers seat and make the rest of it a truck bed for hauling stuff. I just saw a super stretch club maxi cab on a Dakota that had a 4 foot bed behind it...... But sure had lots of leg room for the people in the back seat. :D

Ray i don't think rex could get that Limo / camper thingy in to his garage

Steve: That is a Los Angeles Motor Hotel. Oh yeah, I have a ladder ordered for Carey to get into the cab:p .

Ray: This is my first Ford since an old junker I had back in the 70's. Man it was a dog, but ran like the best and was tough as a tank. My last two trucks were used Dodges and I still have the last...an '86. I will sell it, but really hate to get rid of it since it is in better than average condition. Dodge is a great truck, but they are very proud of them.

Know what you mean about the bed size. I had to decide on either the Super Crew cab or a long bed. To have both, would be like docking a battleship without the tugs:D . I will just have to let my 8 foot lumber hang over the tail gate.;)

NZKen: Ahhhh! "Tim the tool man", my mentor. Bigger, Faster, Power...more power.:D :D I loved that show because there was a little bit of all of us in the skits.

I've seen some neat trucks out here, 12' beds, a crew cab with a 10' bed (that thing was HUGE)...

I just saw a Ford truck a week ago that had three doors on each side and an eight foot bed. That sucker was long as a football field. The three doors is what really blew me away though. Have not seen it but once but that was enough for me.
