G'day James,
Have a good trip Fergie, hope you did all your task's, the garden look's ace, thanks for the virus update, i have banned word docks from my e mails, i'll just delete them if i get any

Hi crew,

Just checkin' in quickly as always. Don't get to enjoy much time online this days because [1] very busy at work and [2] racing the calendar to stage/shoot all the photos for my Philly ironbelt presentation [have done 24 out of 80 so far], goal is to have them all shot before the first weekend of June; that will give me a whole month to compose a Powerpoint slideshow.

Fergie - Great pix of the garden, you got a green thumb for sure! Now I think I understand better how you came to choose some of the colors of your MESS rolling stock. Hope you have a great trip, last time when you came back you brought us a weathered coaling tower - what're ya gonna bring us next time?:D

Rex - I had that procedure back in '95, not very pleasant. I heard that nowadays they give you medicine to knock you out while they're examining you [?] It's been over 10 years, I'm probably overdue for a repeat - guess I'll just wait for my M.D. to remind me (same one for past 15 yrs).

Hello OZJim, welcome to the Dark Side!:D

Steve - How's that addition coming along, gonna be able to resume work on YV-II pretty soon?

. . .
Getting late, gotta go, hasta!

Hi all! Got that danged test done today and all turned out good. I guess it will be time for me to try out for Pro football soon.

KenL: You really need to go back and get this done if you had any polyps removed. Yes, they have some really good stuff to give you now. They gave me a shot in the IV tube to make me not remember what they did and a 'la-la land' shot not care. I don't even remember the Doc coming into the treatment room. After I returned to my room and woke up, my wife said I asked when they were going to get started. I couldn't believe it was over (thank God)

Unfortunately, the night before (almost all night) is still just as bad as ever. They really need to come up with something better for this so more people would get this very important exam. This was my second time over a 5 years period and both times I swore, "Never Again!...but, I will;) .

Fergie: Wow! Your garden is beautiful. I remember you telling me on Skype that you were a serious gardener...Yes, you are and a good one!

James: Your always welcome here in the coffee shop (Just don't pinch Flo's... She has a heck of a left upper-cut. :D )

Rex, I have finally found a doctor that I really like! She's about 5'1" and really cute..... Uh, ignore that (she's also married). She has changed my daily regimen for my psoriasis to include for an hour each sunny day doing the following: Put on shorts, take off shirt. Go to fridge, get a cold beer. Proceed to back yard or deck and sit in chair (or recline on one of those beach type thingys) put legs up (very important so that suns rays hit legs directly) and relax/enjoy beer. I can occasionally substitute a Gin and Tonic for the beer if I desire. What a great doctor!

Fergie, I am becoming convinced that the man living across the street is from some other planet and is pretending to be human......... (this is the stuff of the 3rd dimention (doo, doo, doo, doo............). Today I managed to get my lawn mowed for the first time in week. Got it wedged in around printing and mailing bacccalaureate brunch and service invitations to the graduating seniors and their families; picking up and storing sound gear (mic cords, stands. microphones, etc) at school. Anyway, the guy across the street comes home from work mowing lawns at school and disappears into his house. I thought, it looks like rain, maybe he won't mow his lawn tonight. Now he has mowed his lawn every evening for 8 days in a row. Then suddenly I hear his mower. I don't think too much about it, looked out my kitchen window a few times and see he is mowing the lawn back to front, front to back. Then (now this is the scary part) as soon as he has finished, I notice that he is mowing his lawn a second time, side to side..... Twice, this guy mowed his lawn twice. Within 5 minutes of finishing, he mowed his lawn again........???????????????????????????????

Looks good though!;) :D

Ray, I love your Doctor's prescriptions. My kinda folks!
Your Neighbor: He is having to cut his grass everyday because the wheel lines keep disappearing.
Tonight, he had to do it twice cause he didn't like the direction of the lines and so he changed it.
:D :D :D

Rex, have you been hanging out to much at CJ's house? :D

Hi everyone, thought I would stop in real quick and say hello. Hope to get back in here more often.
Rex - I'm glad to hear the exam went well. Don't that stuff you have to drink the day before taste "GOOD" ( Been there, done that also ). ;)

Everyone have a great evening.

Stan.

Bill- You got it backward this morning!
I have to have my cup of caffine first, then a sugar rush, and then I can enjoy the scenery.
Ray- You watch your neighbor close. There may be a golf tournement in his yard this weekend and he is getting the greens prepared.

This being Memorial Day weekend in the US, please remember those who have preserved our ability to pay income taxes.

Happy railroading!!

Morning All. I just finished wolfing down my first cup-o-joe and a nice fresh apple friter. If I was home right now I'd be down in the basement finishing off the last few feet of track installtion on my newly designed layout plan.

I started off doing the traditional 8x4. For the first 10 months I worked hard and fast on the layout and got it to the point where people would come down in the basement and OOOoooo and Aaaahhh. It was a folded dog-bone and went around and around and around. I became bored with the lack of operational opportunity. So on January 2nd of this year I picked up a hammer and saw. Withing a couple of hours the old 8x4 was a memory. A quick trip to the lumber yard and I was back with bench work for a planned 16x9 "J" shaped dog-bone. I've been installing roadbed and track for the last few weeks. There are 26 turnouts on the new layout, and I've built in version of John Allens "Timesaver". In just rolling some stock around to check for the smoothness I can see the operational opportunity and I can't wait to get going.

Anywho...I hope you all have a great day. See you all soon.

Trevor

Mornin' Bill!

Mikey, I figured out why he mowed twice yesterday. It is raining here and he would get wet if he mowed today. So he did it twice yesterday...???

Trevor, sounds like your new layout is coming along well. Don't forget to share your progress (photos).

Just growing a lawn for the ride?

Hello folk's,
how are you all doing,
Ken L the house is coming along now at speed, i'm on holiday now for the next 9 days, YIPEEEEEE. but it's not going to be any holiday for me, i just took delivery of the fascia boards (PVC) one's and guttering for the extension and main house, i have gone with plastic with oak effect for durabillity and black plastic guttering, it will be the only house in our street like it, everyone else has stuck with the horrible brown woodwork from when the houses were built 13 yrs ago.

Fergie, That is BAD! I love it. That goes into my list of one liners..... (Were you a Boy Scout by any chance....? That is definately Scout humor!)

Lady_Railfan, it is probably that rocking motion on the boat. Some people get sicker than others.....

Think it would be possible to model???
Chris

I think it's life on the M.E.S.S. would be short lived as it would probably snap in two! Saying that she's quite the unique beast!

Lady Rail Fan: Mmmmm... It's been thought of but logistics and other issues would make it difficult to maintain. There's a fair bit of wash out every year and the 30 degree slope would mean switch backs and lots of trestles. If it's going to happen I think I'd go On30 not G. Wow On30 for outdoor... Not totally out of the realm of possibilities:D

Fergie
