mornin' Bill!

Fergie, I'll have to mow mine very soon. I'm debating whether to put it off until Thursday or try to fit it in today. Tomorrow is filled with live sound commitments and a Dr. appt. We've had about 2 inches of rain in the last week. Bet the guy across the street will be watering his bushes tonite. ;) :D

Gettin ready to head out to the shed and fire up the Kobuta. Only been 5 days since th last mowin but with all the rain it sure has grown a lot. Also need to get back to the wood lathe and finish up the bowls I am making for christmas presents. 2 down and only 10 more to go I sure hope my daughters like them because I am having a great time turning them. now if only the tennis elbow would ease up so I could work on the bowls longer at any given time.
Hi ho Hi ho it's off to the shed I go.

Ken, no, that's the actual train between Lancaster and Carnforth after dropping off the passengers at Lancaster for there day out.

Just got the mitre saw set up outside as it was sunny so i could do some skirting boards and what do you know, it poured down as soon as i got the last piece of wood outside, oh well.

Grande man or is it the Flying grande man, WOWeeeeeee

Mornin' y'all!
Just a quick cup to go, please.
The boss man has made a four-letter adjective out of the four-letter noun he has been using all week. He has modified "work" into "work hard".
Have a good day!

"work hard" Sounds like a double negative to me. Work and hard should never be used in the same sentance.

Hi all!
I just got back from my follow-up on my physical. All the tests came out good including:heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, PDA, blood work. The only problems to show up were high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I have one more test to do and it is in the morning. It's the one where you first have to starve and then have to drink that horrible stuff the night before. Yup! The rear piping test:eek:. I don't expect any problems here, but the new Doc wanted to start out with us knowing it all.
Many smiles to ya!

Had that done a couple months ago. The worst part is the prep for the test. Well actually almost as bad is after you have the test they will tell you that you can't operate any machinery that day. They wouldn't even let me play with my trains. Boring day. The nurse said she didn't think it was a good idea to be playing with a #11 exacto knife after the Good Stuff you will be getting........ :D

Steve::eek: :eek: PERISCOPE!!!!!!!:eek: :eek:
Maybe he's X Army.:D :D :D

Ray: This Doc wants you to be on a low fiber diet, no pork, fried foods, and etc. for a week prior and of course clear diet today. Yeah, I just started the real Prep part. Oops! Gotta run. CU tomorrow evening.:D :D :D

Hi Everyone,

So enjoy:D

This was from Lisa's IT dept regarding a new virus so heads up

This is to inform everyone that a new virus has emerged this week of which we all need to be aware and take appropriate action. This virus is especially dangerous because it comes in the form of a Microsoft Word Document, which is a document type most of us see on a daily basis. When the document is opened, it infects your computer, and can also infect files on our network allowing it to spread to all NSAHO users. It uses a previously undiscovered vulnerability in Word to infect victim computers and as of right now, there is no patch to close the vulnerability. What this means is that as new viruses are developed using this vulnerability, the only defense will be the antivirus companies updating their products.

This problem has two ways it can be mitigated, by patching the vulnerability or by catching the virus that exploits the vulnerability. Usually, we get regular patches from manufacturers that allow us to patch problems before there are any viruses that exploit said problems. In this case, the virus was released onto the internet before anyone knew about it. Therefore, we have only our antivirus software to stop this and any other new threats that are created before the patch is released.

This is why it is extremely important that everyone here and at home make sure that your virus definitions are up to date. NSAHO antivirus software on NSAHO computers is kept up to date by our update server, so as long as you are connecting regularly (every day or so) then you will be receiving the latest virus updates from the server.

Everyone should also be very suspicious of Word documents that you receive for the next few weeks that you were not expecting. If you do receive a Word document that you were not expecting, you should follow up with the sender before opening. If infected with the current virus utilizing this vulnerability, the attacker can take complete control of the infected system.

The following are some websites that go into more detail about this vulnerability, and also the steps to take to deal with this problem.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/919637.mspx - Here is the Microsoft Security Advisory. This will give a good overall explanation of the vulnerability

http://secunia.com/advisories/20153/ - This article gives another explanation of the vulnerability.

http://www.symantec.com/outbreak/word_exploit.html - This is an article explaining the vulnerability, the current virus taking advantage of this vulnerability, and also how to repair a computer that has already been infected.

We will inform everyone when a patch has been released and is applied to everyone’s computer.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me to discuss.

Fergie, what a gorgeous back yard and garden. My neighbor would be so envious!!;) :D I have some of the same concrete block that you used on your garden around a small herb garden by my house. Tomorrow my veggy garden gets rottotiled and my lawn gets mowed (and baled)....

That computer virus sounds like a nasty one. Makes me glad I use a Mac.

( This is an email virus for Mac OS X. It works on the honor system. Please start deleting random files on your system and forward this message to everyone in your address book.)

Bill! Ever thought of franchising?

Well I'm off to Newfoundland this morning to bring back the ship before we go Nort for the summer. I'll be finishing off some projects I started last month.

Mornin' Bill!

Hello again James, nice to see ya here.

Fergie, if Bill franchises, The quality would probably go way down. You just can't beat that personal touch every morning......:D

CJ I use that quote as one of my e-mail signatures. I get picked on by a few friends for being an Applehead, so I have a lot of good comebacks when I find their machines have been down with "the flu" for a couple weeks.... ;) :p One of the Trojan Horses going around infested a whole lot of computers. For about 6 months I was getting a dozen or so e-mails that had the virus in it (already had it removed by Roadrunner). It was nice to be fairly safe from attack.
