Mornin' Bill!

Hi everybody! I'm Baaaaaack! (Anybody miss me? ) I'll stop back later after I unpack with a couple shots of camp. We are not allowed to go up the hill to the FLRR tracks for any reason. So I didn't get any photos of the diseasals and trains that go past the camp daily now. A few years ago we would hear one or two trains a week. the FLRR has been able to increase business so that we hear several trains a day (and night). Just a great little perk of being at camp.

Later!

Well hello there, Mr. Ray! Glad you came back to us safe.
While you were gone, the forum boss decided that this forum was so good he needed to tax all the people that live in the Finger Lakes region of NY. It's only $50/mon and you can send the payment to me for ...err...handling or to Ford Finance for deposit in my special forum account. (I'm always willing to help out) :D :D :)

Now Flo, lets talk about some serious breakfast. Let's start with a pot of coffee, 1/2 dozen eggs over easy, toast, and a 1/2 slab of bacon. For dessert, I will have a stack of pancakes covered in butter and maple syrup.

Howdy! Back again this morning with a few shots from camp. Though these aren't RR oriented, you just have to imagine the blast of the horn from the loco of a FLRR consist floating down to the lakefront while I was taking some of these..... :D

Some of our sailboats at the waterfront on Seneca Lake. Yes that is how blue the water is. Seneca Lake is 850 feet deep and so has a gorgeous deep blue color.

Got this shot from the Camp Chase Boat towing some campers on the "Banana Boat". I got several shots of it in the sunlight showing across the lake in the evening.

On Thursday evening, I get to cook stew and Peach Cobbler for the camp over an open fire.

Shot of us rehearsing on Saturday at the Church that hosted the service.

This is a layered image that I made for the cover of the Church Bulletin. Love to play with Photoshop...:D Theme for camp this year was "Peace"

Hey Flo! Gimme some o' them eggs all the other guys have. Make mine sunny side up if you please! Put a side of bacon, grits, and toast with butter with them please!

Having breakfast for "supper" here. A good Southern tradition.

Gettin' excited about the trip to Dallas tomorrow! Start training for my job, return out there next week, and then layoff a week. Do one more training session, and I start teaching.

I believe that the first job will be in San Angelo, Tx . Anyone know of any shops, clubs or visit-able layouts in the area?

Nice one Carey, hope it works out

Fergie Just bought the sea song's CD i told you about, what a treat for the guy's at work

BLONDE COOKBOOK!

MONDAY: It's fun to cook for Tom. Today I
made angel food cake. The recipe said beat 12 eggsj
separately. The neighbors were nice enough to loan
me some extra bowls.

TUESDAY: Tom wanted fruit salad for supper.
The recipe said serve without dressing. So I didn't
dress. What a surprise when Tom brought a friend
home for supper.

WEDNESDAY: A good day for rice. The recipe
said wash thoroughly before steaming the rice. It
seemed kind of silly but I took a bath anyway. I
can't say it improved the rice any.

THURSDAY: Today Tom asked for salad again. I
tried a new recipe. It said prepare ingredients, lay
on a bed of lettuce one hour be fore serving. Tom
asked me why I was rolling around in the garden.

FRIDAY: I found an easy recipe for cookies.
It said put the ingredients in a bowl and beat it.
There must have been something wrong with this
recipe. When I got back, everything was the same as
when I left.

SATURDAY: Tom did the shopping today and
brought home a chicken. He asked me to dress it for
Sunday (oh boy). For some reason Tom keeps counting
to ten.

SUNDAY: Tom's folks came to dinner. I wanted
to serve roast but all I had was hamburger.
Suddenly I had a flash of genius. I put the
hamburger in the oven and set the controls for
roast. It still came out hamburger, much to
my disappointment.

GOOD NIGHT DEAR DIARY. This has been a very
exciting week. I am eager for tomorrow to come so I
can try out a new recipe on Tom. If I can talk Tom
into buying a bigger oven, I would like to surprise
him with chocolate moose.

Hey! I didn't touch any of those donuts! Back on my diet after a week of camp food..... LOL. Yep, it was a fantastic week. the only downer for us was that one of our campers lives in a community that was hard hit by the flood a couple weeks ago in the southern tier of NY. She came to camp on Sunday knowing that her house would be torn down on Monday. Her family's house had been condemed after the flood as it was structurally unsound. She had some hard times and a lot of tears, but still loved being with us at camp becase of the caring and sharing that took place. This camp is a very special place!

*sigh*, I'm ALMOST all moved now, but, I can't get the internet there until the 3rd, so it looks like I have to check my email in my barracks room until then.

On another note I built the computer chairs, and desks allready, and my 2nd computer is allready in the apartment. I'm just lacking a TV, Kitchen table/chairs, living room stuff, a REAL bed, and I need some lamps & shower curtains! This is a real rush, getting my first place to call my own!

Mornin' Bill! Save a couple donuts for Fergie will ya!

I wouldn't as by the time I pick them up they'll be a bit musty. I'll be gone before Bill makes the morning run. Yep I'm headed for the Arctic and have to be at the base for 5a.m.

So on that note

Sea Ya

Hey guys, I'm still alive!! Had the most horrible couple of weeks, constant headaches and dizziness. I've been to a doc, ear nose and throat specialist and had a CT scan on the noggin:eek: All is ok:D:cool:

So now my treatment is an osteopath for stress and very tight neck, shoulder and jaw muscles.

I'm slowly feeling better.

Ken.

Hi Ken, I have been wondering why you were in a quiet mode. Sure sorry to hear that you have been feeling bad.
CT of the noggin, huh? Well, if your results were like mine would be...they didn't see anything... nothing....empty. (Maybe some spider webs.):D :D

Hope you get to feeling better quickly!;) :)
