Afternoon, fellow kit busters,
Tom, I did one Mather stock car since I like stock cars. Never again. That was about the furthest thing from a shake the box kit ever made. They sure looked nice in the Walthers catalog but it's the last one I'll ever buy.
Jeffrey, that's a tough condition you have to fight. About all you can do is try your best to keep your diabetes under control and hope that those wounds continue to heal.
Paul, I don't think I ever read what kind of organ transplant you had. I know the anti-rejection medicine plays havoc with almost every part of your body. If Jean had gotten into remission from her leukemia and had a successful stem cell transplant, I really dreaded the anti-rejection regimen she would have to gone through. I hope you're able to keep things on a reasonably even keel.
Ray and Tom, I'm sure Rex and I would be happy to transport some warm air up your way if we could. It was 95 yesterday and we had a "not as hot" front go through last night so it's only 93 now.

I think summer has officially begun down here. Spent all of yesterday weeding the flower beds and spreading out 40 cubic yards of mulch...in the heat. I could have done this last week when it was cooler but no, I procrastinated and paid the price. I think I lost a couple of pounds of pure sweat. Still, at 62, I'm not complaining because I can still do the work and wake up the next morning and function. Not much chance for rain until Friday, which figures, since that's when number two daughter has her high school graduation in an open football stadium. I'm not sure what the school's plan is to handle that.
