Morning ALl ! Another cold damp day here on the Niagara Frontier ! friday it's suppose to dry up and wame up. Will wait and see. Steve congrats. to your ManchesterTeam. here in Buffalo we have suffered for a long time with our teams. We just won The National Indoor Lacrosse Chamipionship . Don't know if that counts though. Jim hope the weather holds out for your daughter's graduation. All my children's where held outside also . god was good for them and the weather held out for all of them. BTW I had a Kidney transplant and it's beeen a constant battle for 16 years. But the alteravtive is muck whorse .they say I have to have another one in the near future . Don't know what it will hold but what the heck . Well enough of my health promblems . Hope you all have a real nice kinda day !!!!

Carl Thats a neat looking machine, never sean one like that before.
Got to say the match was fantastic,,,, but Manchester city council say we can't have a homecoming winners parade,,, because it will be to popular, can you believe that, the biggest win in history and they say we can't celebrate it.

Jeffrey: I hope you kicked Norton's into the state West or North of you. I sure don't want it here:D . I had their Internet Securtiy package and while it did the job very good, it slowed my computer startup and functions to half speed, plus it got into things that was none of its danged business. :D

That's the same problem I had with it. It was blocking things that weren't a hazard and kept locking my system up until I called Norton to get a code to restart it. I had to pay for the dang code. After that I don't use Norton anymore and will gladly give them a million bucks worth of free advertising, all negative.

Is it just me, or are the Mods failing us the past few days? I've reported 5 post so far! Plus we've got no photo contest! Come on guys!

Howdy and a good afternoon to each of you!

Very busy morning. Had to put a couple thousand $$$ in the MLK Scholarship account to pay for the dinner and add to the fund, then hightail it over to school to check on my next sound project over there as well as clean up from Tuesday's concert (Mikes, monitors, cords, etc.).

Josh I think you are right. I have sent Eric two PMs asking about the Photo Contests over the last 6 weeks, and have not gotten any answer and have also sent some stuff to Bob and have not gotten an answer either. So..... Maybe everyone is on vacation????

Afternoon, fellow spam chasers.

Josh, I reported that Warcrat idiot too. Bob usually jumps on things pretty fast so I suspect he's off doing something else today. At least the spammer's post's are mildly amusing. :) I really miss Eric, both for the photo contests and his mine reports. I hope he's OK.

Paul, I didn't know you had a kidney transplant. You've done very well for 16 years although I'm sure a lot of it wasn't fun. Unfortunately, it's pretty common for a transplanted kidney to start to head to the rip track after about 15 years. The fact that you survived so well with your previous transplant should make you a good candidate for another and, as you say, it sure beats the alternative.

Steve, I know nothing about English Football but congratulations on your team winning. I don't know how victory celebrations go over there but, when the Oakland Raiders won the Super Bowl, it turned it a giant riot that took us two days to get under control. Maybe Manchester is worried about the same kind of thing.

Carl, I've never seen a curb making machine like that either. It's usually just levels and forms. Must be neat to watch in action. First time I've seen track stored inside of track too. Seems a little dangerous since some vandals could place the track in the flangeway and at least cause a few cars to go on the ground.

Jeffrey, sounds like a nice computer. I'm still plugging along on my four year old Toshiba laptop. I got rid of Norton a long time ago and I've never regretted it. AVG does just what I want and nothing more. Norton got so bloated it took over my whole computer.

Ray, sounds like you're keeping busy as usual. Someday maybe you can retire and relax some. :)

Perfect conditions for thunderstorms today. It's 90 degrees with a dew point of 67. Just cloudy and really muggy so far with the only thunderstorms up near Birmingham. There's a few small storms forming to the south so I hope they will eventually get here. It's hard to believe we won't get something out of this and we need the rain.

Edit: I see a mod is on the job since all the spam posts are gone. Thanks, whoever you are!

Jim Yeah, the Glasgow game last week turned into a bit of a punch up in Manchester,,, i think they are worried about a repeat, but it's a one team celebration and you do not get problems here any more with events like this, everyone will be out to celebrate, it's 50 years since the Munich disaster when the United teams plane crashed, the same year they went into europe for the first time, it's a great historical event.

The curb machine is pretty cool. A cement mixer drives alongside and pours the concrete into the top of the curb machine and the concrete is then gravity-fed into the curb shaping section where the machine mixes the concrete with extra gravel that is on the roadbed. Plenty of time to study how it works since it moves at about two feet a minute. :D

The area where the rail is placed is a very slow speed area for the train so noticing a problem should be fairly easy.

We are feeling the petrol pain here in australia...

In my city Petrol is $1.50 per litre, and diesel is $1.72

They reckon if oil hits $150 US per barrel this year we will be paying around $1.70 for fuel and $2.00 for diesel. Even though Diesel is cheaper to make than unleaded and should be 20c cheaper.

we're $4.00 on the average! Job #1 I drive my Chevy HD2500 300 miles a week! cost to got to work a week is $100.00--- Job #2 my Lawn service the cost is nuts! I love it when new customers ask why it cost so much to get their yard mowed! Fuel! fuel! fuel!

Hi All,
Whew! What a weather day here in Colorado. We had some pretty severe tornados in Windsor which is a few miles north of my house. A cousin called from Ft Collins and told me that his daughter, who lives in Windsor, had the roof blown off her house and her two dogs are still missing this evening.
I went to a going away party in a park Littleton, SW of Denver and we were almost blown away. Huge wind gusts and a real downpour and it got down right chilly. Had to use the heater on the way home to take the chill off. Brrr!
I suppose it is that time of year here in Colorado. You never know what is up next!
I hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend. :)

:o I drive a 6 cylinder falcon. it costs me $65 a week to fill when the tank is 1/4 full. I drive 300km a week driving from one side of town to the other and I get about 8 days from a tank (including weekends)

$4.00 per gallon is cheap compared to $1.50 per litre It wasn't that long ago I remember paying $1.15 earlier last year.

What P*sses me off more is in Australia the fuel companies have developed a weekly cycle in the capital cities, where by the fuel will hit $1.50 for example on Wednesday, drop to $1.45 thurs/fri and eventually end up down around $1.35 on Tuesday following. I just wish it would sit at one price all week so I wouldn't have to milk every drop out of my car to fill up on "cheap tuesday" Our prices also shoot up the minute the world oil price goes up. I see the delivery truck turn up on Monday, they will sell the fuel for $1.35 for two days and no truck will turn up again until thursday but they will charge $1.50 for the fuel they bought for $1.35 Then the fuel they bought for $1.50 will be sold for $1.35  Our prices wouldn't be as bad if that was the case, and as far as I know we are the only country that has this price manipulation.

Our government doesn't help the cause either. We get charged at the moment roughly 45cpl fuel excise plus 10% GST on it, our newly elected government want to tax us yet again with a carbon tax which would increase the price by another 5-10cpl.

Sorry for the rant! But I had to get it off my chest somehow! :o

Personal Note:

Got's to got to work Again:mad: ? well their trying to transfer me to another park further from home due to Government cut backs! But the park is another 20 miles away which will bring my round trip to work to 50miles one way! With a pay freeze and no raises in the future that is nuts! My fuel cost per week is $100 now add $50.00 to that! I make $13.00hr I have to work 10hr and some change to goto work! Good thing I have a second job.......At least were in the start of our rainy season, my lawn service should start to pick up! Thank GOD!:) Have a good day everyone!

Good morning folks

It was 53 and sunny on the way in to work this morning. Traffic was light this morning. I guess a lot of folks decided to make it a four day weekend. I’ll most likely take a half day myself. High today is supposed to be 70 F. By Memorial Day it will be 82 with no rain in the forecast all weekend. Yesterday was weird weather-wise. We had times where the sun was shinning and it was pouring rain, yet no clouds seemed to be around. The wind, however, was blowing pretty hard, so I suspect the clouds were near-by and the rain was being blown on top of us.

I started setting up the next photo session and cleaned a few things up on the layout. I helped my son repair a couple of his cars that had broken couplers.

This holiday weekend will be busy. Tonight we have my son’s guitar lesson and the official opening of a new exhibit at my wife’s work at the museum. Tomorrow we will go with the Girl Scouts to the Devon Horse Show. Sunday will be a trip to the beach at Wildwood Crest, NJ. Monday I figure yard work and some relaxing.

I may try to build another of the P2K Mather stock car kits. I would also like to begin weathering the gondolas sitting on the workbench and any of the stock cars I get done. I do need to make a run to the LHS as I have only four Kadee #5 couplers left.

I hope everybody has a good day.
