Well fellas here it is 5AM,:eek: and we just got in the door from LR. My son drove the whole way, while my wife and I slept. My wife slept up front in the heated, reclining passenger seat, while I stretched out in the back. I awoke once to get my son through Memphis, then crashed and burned again.:p I have NO idea how fast he drove, but time wise it was quick! I slept well but could use some more sleep, maybe later on today!

We got mugged by our 4-legged children when we came in.;) You'd thunk we were gone a month, instead of two days. Since we didn't get to do all that we wanted, we get to repeat the trip again the week of Christmas. Sure am glad gas is down!:D

Good morning everyone! today we plan on taking the kids to Big Top Flea Market in Tampa......To buy some Fleas of course! :D To day's weather is a carbon copy of yesterday:)

Mornin' all!

Well, it's supposd to be near 50 degrees today, and no rain this afternoon. Looks like another riding day on the old bike. Been doing some work to it this weekend, mostly cosmetic. Put on some new saddle bags, a new tool bag, a small tail bag, and some really cool emblems that I got from Zambini Brothers. Those guys do incredible work! Tomorrow the ugly stuff starts though. First rain, then sleet, then snow. Looks like a great day to drive something with 4 wheels!

Too bad they didn't have your fuzzy fish the other day Chris. Those things are cool!

Well, I'd best be off.

Prayers for those in need.......yeah, thats pretty much everyone!

Just been to the Christmas church service for "The Childrens Society" which is a charity for children who are homeless or in need of help. Much to the wifes and my surprise our daughter sang at the alter with about 15 others, we knew nothing about it, but school did, what a great surprise that was.

Hi everyone! Guess I am fully rested after a very busy day with the ARG. It was a wonderful time with friends and what better time of the year to have this event. I invite you to check out Jim's photos in the ARG thread and see all the uglies.:D

Carey, glad you made it back safely. That is not a bad drive normally, but you sure didn't need ice to deal with.

Chris: While stationed at Wake Island, we did a lot of snorkeling. One guy that was a loner, went out on the reef and captured, a Lion fish (I think). he put it in a sack and while walking on shore, the bag brushed his leg and the fins of the fish pricked his leg. It swelled up horribly and he had to get some kind of anti-venom/poison for treatment. (Does this sound correct? It was only 43 years ago:eek:)

Steve: Sounds like you and your family are really in the Christmas Spirit. Enjoy it while the kids are still home; it's not the same after they leave.

Hiya Paul! Always glad to see you around.

Philip: Sorry, but they cancelled all warm weather for the Hoosier state. You will just have to wait longer before you can ride that bike.

Rex, lionfish can be dangerous!:eek: And really dangerous if you are allergic to stings and bites! I have a fox face rabbit fish which is toxic too! but when handled with care and dealt with properly they are safe!:) In florida waters we have scorpion fish which are in the same family as lionfish! And they live in shallow waters as well as deep waters are just as dangerous:eek: But you have more chances to get struck by lighting twice than getting stung!:)

duly noted. Iwill stay away from all lionfish. (I googled them, they're beautiful!)

I was in a barn once when it was hit by lightening. can't even begin to describe it.

My TV antenna was hit by lightening. I heard the "pop", the air went blue, ALL the lights flashed on blue in the house!!!
luckily, nothing burst into flame, but my antenna was half on the ground the next morning. I guess it was well grounded.
I NEARLY got hit in a huge storm, running by the yard light one day. again, heard the snap, felt all the hairs stand up on my arms and head, light flashed blue.
and just last summer, I was out brining in horses and had a storm breeze in.
that snap that comes a split second before the air turns blue is a little too familiar. I opened the gate and let them all run into the barn themselves.

so, I';m staying away from all fish that could kill me.

A friends arena was hit by lightening during their Labour Day picnic a couple years ago. It burned to the ground, and took the attached barn with it.

and I was at a horse show years ago, one of the riders was hit and killed instantly! horse, too. THAT was a horrible day. it wasn't even storming yet, just cloudy, with a faint rumble of thunder.
but they say that its dangerous still after a half hour that the last thunder has been heard.

I just make sure all the horses are in, and that I'm in, as well.

I had a goldfish once. :) pretty inocuous.

I've never had a lionfish, though they are beautiful. I did have a stonefish a while back, but when we moved to the new house I never set up any of my tanks. Just too much maintinance for me right now.

Well, I did manage to get out for a short ride today to get some pics of my bike. I spent Friday night and Saturday morning working on it.

Here's the before pic.........

And here's the after (sorry about the quality, the light was bad)............

I like the new bags and the emblems are awesome! Zambini Bros. did an excellent job on them!

I've been struck by lightning twice. Those of you that know me, probably explains a great deal. I think I'll stay away from the water...:o

Of all the years I known you.........Yes, that does explain a lot:D:p Does that mean you avoid baths and showers too:)

Yes, the maintinance is tough! I keep putting off the water change, it needs to be done though! Might try after work, the saltwater is already made just got to do the deed:o I was thinking of getting a stone fish, they are neat:) The fish that is the Pain in the but is my obital Bat! He likes to bite and see how many hairs he can rip from my arm! tank cleaning is fun:eek: one day the butter and frying pan will get him!LOL's
