Chris another angle and a close up of the bushes. there are three of them planted about 24" apart in a small circle. The leaves are a dark green with kind of a reddish cast on the edge them.

She's back to giving me my marching orders:rolleyes:;) Myself between taking care of her I managed to get two yards mowed before the rain came in! $60 richer:) had to reschule the third yard to next friday:rolleyes: o'well!

Good to hear about your wife.

Jeff, 28k for a tic tac box is still a little high:( for that much I could score a Pontiac GTO or G8 with a 6.0 or nice roomy Tahoe or Truck:) Either way still a nice looking car your niece got!

Ahh good Aussie Muscle.

The Accord looks very different to the ones we get in Australia.

They look like New Guinea Impatents(sp?)i'm about 60% sure thats what ya got there. The small flowers are whats throwing me......take a clipping to your local nursery they will give you a positive ID on the plant!

See the similarities! :D

James,
Good Ausie muscle with a good old fashioned, Detroit designed, fuel gulping push-rod small-block V8. Its a shame that the late model GTO's didnt sell well considering they represent the original muscle car phylosophy (sp). Its all about power and performance. The styling is secondary. Lets not forget that the ORIGINAL american muscle car, the GTO, was just a pontiac tempest (grosery getter) with the biggest engine John DeLorian thought he could "shoe-horn" in it. That said, lets hear a round of applause for Holden for keeping the concept alive with the Monarro. With out that design, there may not have been the last, and I mean LAST generation of the GTO.

Oh yeah! One more thing....... May God bless George Miller for the first two "Mad Max" movies! "Mad Max II", ("The Road Warrior") never gets old and in my oppinion, cant be beat. Great action flik!

Bob,
"Death Race 2000", "Cannonball Run"? Cheesey says it all. If you want to see a GOOD and funny movie about a cross-country race, see "The Gumball Rally". A MUCH better "ride".

Keith

Evenin' folks, wow miss a day around here and all kinds of stuff goes on:)

Well got the daughter graduated today. I now have a genius living in my house. I have never been to a college graduation before today, it was a very nice ceremony, but I am glad it is over.

Chris; Glad to hear things are going well with your wife. Marching orders already huh? Sounds like she is doing very well indeed.:D

Jeffery; Keep us updated on your dad. I don't blame him for not wanting to be there. I hate doctors and hospitals. I know sometimes we all need them, but I just don't care for either. I have to be almost dead before I will even think of the doctor.

Well I am pretty whooped from all the action today, think I will be hitting the sack earky tonight.

Next on the agenda is the daughters wedding in June:eek:

Talk to you guys tomorrow...

Wegelia is what it is. I asked Glendia and she said that I would forget my arse if it weren't attached. LOL LOL!!!! Oh well what ever they are/is I likes em.

Some ditz brain went speeding through Leesville today and wrapped his old model Trans-Am around a pole in front of Wal-Mart. He claimed he didn't know what the speed limit was. HELLO! There are speed limit signs every 500 to 1000 feet!.

Not to worry Jeffrey, just remember. Sometimes stupidity is just God's way of thinning the herd......kinda like the idiot kid that wiped out a Honda Civic on our street last fall....after barely missing my mailbox, he plastered my neighbors, went across the street taking out another mailbox, a pine tree, the cable junction box, another small tree then proceded to roll 10 times before coming to a stop over 800 feet from the 1st skid mark. (Almost a football field!) After crawling out of the car, he called 911 himself from his cell phone, and admitted to the 911 dispatcher and the State Trooper that arrived that he was doing 110 mph when he lost it. (I do live on a slight curve). All in a 35 mph residential zone!!! 1 month later a young girl did almost the same wreck, just didn't roll as far. Further attempts to get the county Sheriff's Dept or the State Police to set up radar have been to no avail........

Off to bed for now.......had the grandboys here all day,,,cookout and all, then the local VFD's carnival afterward........now I'm broke and tired...but the kids had a blast!:)

...........Well, we've got our limit, lunch is done, burgers on the grill. Yes we have a gas grill on the boat. The fish are cleaned. Got a Coors Light in hand, and we are about 20 minutes from the house. We are going to beach the boat, sort of and run these carcasses up to the freezer and do it again. ............Might head up to Mackinac, though. I've seen the bridge at night, but never from UNDER the bridge or on the water. .............Rex, meet me at the dock and climb aboard. I've got plenty of room, food, beer, and spirits.....................
Bob

First the stab, then the twist, and now.......the salt! :p:p:D:D

:eek:OMG! Please don't refer to a Goat as "just a tempest". You are right in the very basic design but it stopped there. God, I wish I still had my '66 GTO. She would burn rubber going from 3d to 4th at 70mph+, hug corners like an Indy racer, and eat Chevelles and Cudas alive. I sold it in Bangkok in 1971 for more than I paid for it, but I've always missed my first new car...and what a car it was. Knowing the Thais, she is probably still on the road.:)

Tycofreight: All this talk of GM and Holden is making me feel bad ( I'm a ford lover.) :D

anyway The GTO was the last generation Monaro too. Currently they have the W427 as their biggest ridicolous Holden 427kw, all they did was drop the same V8 the latest gen Chevy's have into it, 22" wheels, quad exhaust extremely big brakes and a price tag of $150,000 AUD.

Ford has possibly the sweetest car and ute/pickup in the Aussie market, although not an 8, belts any aussie 8 and most euros everywhere on a track. :D

It's called the F6 Typhoon and F6 Tornado, 310kw of turbocharged 6 cyl grunt! and they are scarily quick. Something like 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds.

fpv-f6-1-big.jpg

and the pickup, which because it's so light in the rear is the scariest thing to drive!

http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-range/f6-ute/gallery.aspx

The QLD police have approximately 30 of the last model F6 in their Highway Patrol outfit, marked and unmarked, something you don't want to try run from!

Scary huh!
