Here's a photo I call, "Let's go see what the smithy is up to." Jim:o

Sherrel, You're welcome. Since Dead Tree is a company town I figure all the building was done by the miners and train crews so I tried to make it look 'make shift' the best I could.

Toot, Definitely one of my favorite things to do as well! Jim

Thanks Sherrel. I'm off to Costco this week to have this one printed. I like canvas prints but I may go with metal this time.

Lasted update: Sadly, I've been running out of scenes to shoot photos on this layout. What do you all suppose that means? Jim:eek:

You're feeling better? :)

Thank guys. You both sort of incorrect. Frankly I'm getting a bit board with layout. Once I take every conceivable photo there is not much left for me. I don't really run trains so this is all my issue. Question: If I keep the same woodwork, 4'x'6', and not disturb the track what kind of scenery should I do for the 'last' layout? Jim:eek:

That's a tough call Jim, hard to see how you can change the scenery much without changing the track's plan or it's era. Can't see an era change in the offing, too much invested in that. A name change for the railroad? Not much use or help. Change of location? 'bout the only option. What would suit the existing track plan? An old time city scene? i.e. the other end of the line. That's gon'na need buildings, but would be a complete change of "pace".

Toot, No big towns or city stuff for me. Been there, done that. I'm thinking about some sort of red desert rock formations type of layout. Few if any buildings. Maybe turn this layout into a post-apocalypse things. Maybe a long track into the trash bin. I'm not decided. Jim:eek:
