Not the news anyone wants to get Jim, best wishes also. I had mine done in '04 and I'm still kickin' (that's if I can get my foot off the floor). Stay positive mate.
Wish you all the best, Jim. Hope everything goes well for you. I also had heart surgery 7 years ago and am still here to tell about it. Tough guy like you won't have any problems. Take care, Ron.
Don't exactly remember how I found this thread... was a while ago, and I'd been stopping by ever since, so I finally decided to join.
Anyway, thanks for answering my questions. Yes, I do have a lot of reading to do... I'm looking forward to all reading all 2576 posts when I have a few hours to spare this weekend!
Jim. as a surgical patient still deep in recovery myself I will have you in my prayers. I'm still learning how to type again . I hate hearing about any of us having problems, best of everything and thank you for the great companionship here on the board.
Thanks Johne and welome. I guess the best advice is if something doesn't seem 'right' after all our years, then maybe something is not right and we should head for the doctor. Jim
RR, Thanks. Thanks for the recall or lack thereof. I will do one in a couple of days. I'm still not quit up to snuff. Kit bashing cars is something I like to do and have done it since I was a newby to the hobby. I will collect my thoughts. Jim
PS I got a query via PMail asking why I don't you use the happy faces anymore. Well, it has nothing to do with me, but my computer won't let me do anymore. Nor can I change colors, fonts, size of type. All I get for the last two months is popups every other right button click it seems!?? Jim
Jim,
Even though I've got another 159 pages to go, before I'm up to date on this thread, I've got to say that I love your work and feel for details and I can't help but think back to The Gorre & Daphetid built by John Allen, truly inspiring work young man!
Well, time to top up my cuppa and read on here....and maybe drop of a line or two in the Introduction thingmajig...
.....Aaaaand we've reached page 200! Amazing work Jim, those clouds are magnificent and that turntable is a piece of art in itself! Got to love those logging and mining railroads!
Time for a wee breather, cuppa and another scan in my Milwaukee Road books....
Back in a bit, as this thread is interesting, educational, inspiring and addictive!
Wooohoooo!! We've crossed the finishing line! Outstanding work Jim and the photography is second to none!
Love those wooden trestles etc., how do you build them, jigs?
Looking forward to follow this thread, now that I've caught up!
