Although I would agree that they are the most correct dimension-wise, the rest of the details are lacking (slotted pilots, no see-thru fans, not DCC-ready, no actual headlights, no lift rings, etc) although I don't think it would be too difficult to fix them (get new pilots, new fans, install lift rings, etc). Installing a decoder in the older bluebox style frame is easy enough.
True, but still the price in a few years spiked from $270 to $290 retail is pulling me away. Buying those parts and laboring some hours would add it to $400. No thanks. If anything I'd get them for discount and just run them
