Dave & Kevin! (or anyone else this weekend!)
If ya get a chance, stop by the FCSME layout and say HI! I'll be there all weekend! From setup Friday after noon til closing on Sunday. I'll be there "training" my 15 year old on the finer points of running a 75-100 car train in traffic!!
BTW, just don't ask for Karl, there are 2 of us. I know how to spell it correctly, the other uses a "C" silly!

Karl, I'll keep an eye out for you but you may want to check in with me as we will be connecting our layout to the S & SS layout. From what I was reading and a copy of the layout they sent us it looks like they have a large free-mo layout. I can't wait to get a chance to run a train on a layout that large. I'll be there Saturday morning thru Sunday so I'm sure we will get a chance to meet. I'll look for ya Karl.

Will do Dave! When the S&SS guys come to town, we usually burn up a good bit of time rachetjawing at each others layouts!!!!

JTEX took possession of 2 heavy duty flats today. These will be modified with rails for hauling little critters around.

Cool rig Jerome! Boley, right?
Have you seen the Herpa / Promotex version with the jeep and cheater axles?
Better make sure JTEX picks up a "Landoll Hauloll" with rails in the deck, that's what I use for moving critters... :D

Rick, both the trailer and the tractor are Herpa. It also came with a cheap looking Boley front end loader. It would be nice if someone made that trailer in your pictures.

Ah it is Herpa, Boley released someting similar.
Guess that Landoll would be a good scratch build...
Here's a newer Herpa trailer, not the best pic more bridge than truck tho.

Picked up some more 1:64 car's for my auto scrap yard/junk yard thought I would share.

Jerome, just out of interest, did you get those boxes of parts off of eBay last year?

Which one?? I've got 6 of the clear plastic ones and the small white plastic one is all of the grab irons. lift rings/ coupler bars etc.

Some came from ebay, some came from my wife craft collection (don't tell her!!)

The 6 clear plastic ones.. Last year I bought several lots of detailing parts that came in what looks like the exact same boxes with the same or very similar handwriting & the same make shift plasticard dividers from a deceased estate, but I didn't win them all, I was just wondering if these were the ones that I missed out on!?! lol.. Could just be coincidence of course lol..

The hand writing and card board dividers I added to them. Most of the parts came from my old storage bins. These are just simpler to see in I think.

Brekina has just released photos of the soon to be released 1/87 scale 68 Corvette.

Meanwhile, Truckstop Models now has the plain unmarked Brekina 1/87 scale A-100 Dodge vans in stock. So soon Walthers should have them as well. Walthers also has three Walthers Exclusive A-100 vans coming with preprinted graffics.

You can see photos of the Brekina Corvette and a Walthers Exclusive Dodge A-100 van with Pan American Airlines graffics at this link. http://87thscale.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1970

Heres a link to the Dodge vans on Walther's website http://www.walthers.com/exec/search...&category=Vehicles&scale=H&instock=Q&start=30

And heres a link to Truckstop Models and the Dodge vans they already have in stock
http://www.truckstopmodels.com/

If you're interested in other American cars by Brekina, you'll find the 59 El Camino and 72 Camaro by Brekina here on Walther's website http://www.walthers.com/exec/search...rds=restrict&instock=Q&split=30&Submit=Search

And a photo of the Brekina El Camino that Truckstop models has in stock here http://truckstopmodels.com/catalog/index.php?manufacturers_id=14&sort=2a&page=2

Meanwhile, heres another interesting future release. This set of three mid 50's vintage Chevy trucks by Wiking are re-issues of molds that were last used back in the 60's. http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/781-99070

I thought the Pan Am Dodge van was a Walthers exclusive, but it doesn't appear on Walther's site yet. So, its more likely a future release of a regular edition Brekina model that will be part of a second production run and isn't available yet. When it does become available, it, and the 68 Corvettes should show up on both Walthers and Truckstop Model's websites.
