You have to see who the seller is. Amazon lets businesses sell through them. Generally speaking, Amazon will be the most expensive place to buy from. Try trainworld.com, modeltrainstuff.com, etc.

There is no phasing of the juicer as the point of it is to reverse the feed to the frog anyway. What video did you watch? We have those juicers all over our club layout without issue. To have four that are bad would be very surprising.

There is no polarity in DCC. It is phase. If you have an ohmeter, you can test the phase by testing the AC voltage across the insulated joiner (should be 0 or really close) and then diagonally across the insulated gap (should show voltage probably 10 - 18 VAC). These voltage are just for...

You need to match the phase of the two adjoining power districts. Swap the wires from rail A and B on one of the power districts..

Mine runs smoothly and quietly.
I am sure it is an expense driven decision. If most locos sold were DCC, they probably would default to including it.

I purchased 2 of the BNSF ones and they have DCC. The NS one is listed along with those in their catalog. From the Intermountain site "All InterMountain HO locomotives shipped from InterMountain after January 2011 are DCC equipped from the factory"
