Kapton Tape

[rzw0wr]

I am needing some Kapton tape.
I Googled it and got prices all over the map.

I would like to get good tape.

Where is a good place to buy 1/4" and 1/2" Kapton tape.

Thanks,
Dale

Hi Dale - I ordered 3M Kapton tape from Digi-Key, along with some other electrical components. While not cheap, you can't beat 3M for quality. You can find it here...

I purchased Kapton tape from Train Control Systems:

I bought 3/4" roll off of eBay. Get the name brand 3M. Pay a bit, but it is handy stuff and it'll be the last roll you ever buy.

Yes, get the 3M branded tape. And don't bother going to Radio Shack for it. I tried that, and they looked at me like I had three heads...

Forum:

I have heard that a high quality "scotch" type tape also works well. Any have any comments on using "scotch" tape?

Thanks.
