    MRC Universal 16Bit sound/decoder ( EMD 567 )

MRC is made by XLSystems, in New Jersey. I have four sound decoders in steam locomotives, HO. Love them. I cannot get Digitrax sound to work at a volume I can live with in steamers (only have one diesel with sound).

    Led head light for mallet

The hard part will be routing the wires back to the DCC decoder. I use micro LED bulbs more now instead of the large 3mm LED's

Add Tsunami-2 to Bachmann 0-6-0 slope tender

You gotta hope it is DCC ready. You may have to cut the tender weight in pieces and re-arrange to put a hole in tender bottom.

Running Bear's February 2023 Coffee Shop

Tried running trains this morning and this happened. Reloaded onto track, tried going through the crossover again, same result. Then found the front coupler laying on the track!

Running Bear's January 2023 Coffee Shop

One cup down. Fire started in the wood stove. Going to pick up more wood today, it's free in large box form the pallet repair shop. When do model trains stop breaking down. I'm getting tired of always fixing something. Today a blue box Athearn diesel is making grinding noises.

    Digitrax decoder and sound install

You got it backwards, XLSystems always built the MRC, now selling under their name. I just ordered another one to replace a failed one year old Digitrax that stopped 'chuffing". I'd say, pick something, test it out every which way, make sure you like it before converting a fleet.

    Digitrax decoder and sound install

If this is a first install for you, go with XLSystems. Very inexpensive, includes speaker and reasonable volume. I prefer these over DIgitrax in my steamers. http://xlsystemsdcc.com/product/xl-0001911-28mm-ho-scale-universal-steam-sound-decoder-w-28mm-speaker-w-buffer/

Hangable and portable 6x10ft g scale layout?

"...Would this be possible?..." No. But go ahead and get started. It will be a good learning experience for you. First put together a list of materials with prices, see how much it will cost you. When I was young my brothers and I built a small 4x8 layout hinged on the wall over a bed. It was...
