    Thanks Tom... I used Tamiya XF-1 Flat Black, I'm going to guess at about 30% XF-1 to 70% of 50% IPA. I actually was wanting to add this pic in my post but I was over the 10 file limit, but I can add it here. Z

    Do you really need DCC sound in your model trains?

    First 34 years of the hobby I was making the sounds myself, out loud as a kid and in my head as an adult. Some times I would catch myself making the sounds out loud like when I was youngster in the hobby. The last 20 years I have been running DCC and then started getting hooked on the sound...

    I like busy, so I gave you as much excitement as I could muster up! Diesel locomotive service, fueling station and turntable with roundhouse... I like lots of locomotive action and storage, because you can never have too many Loco's!! I put in a small yard for some car storage and switching...

    Ahhh yes.... the kit, kind of brings a tear to my eye. Not really! Been there, I've assembled 3 Intermountain hopper kits years back and a 4th is still waiting in the que for it's turn.... which will probably never happen. They almost put me in the nut house!🥴 Have fun Tom!

    What are you buying this Month?

    I just picked this up last week. My 1st BLI Loco. Its a nice model, I've been on the lookout for a quality gp35 for a while. Finally pulled the trigger. It's super smooth and sounds great! I really like these keep alive capacitor's that manufacturer's are putting in these newer locos. Great idea! Z

    Sorry folks for posting later than I wanted, but I've been busy with work and getting ready around the house for summer! I just finished up on side 2 of this car, I might have pushed it a little harder on this side! All in all, I'm happy with it. Trying to get into the knack of hand painting...
