Working HO Intermodal Crane?

I am looking for a "working", motorized or whatever they're called overhead intermodal crane for my son's HO scale layout.

I saw the Heljan Plastic one, but it is not only no longer available, but was $750! Good grief.

The only one that I can seem to find for actual purchase is the Walthers Cornerstone series Mi-Jack, but it doesn't actually WORK, it just kind of sits there, and is only available on eBay occasionally. We would very much like to load our containers on and off the trailers and cars, although probably not for the equivalent of an entire month's salary. Anyway! I would love any suggestions.

I think there was another thread about this topic. It was about building one if I am not mistaken.

Try searching to see if you can find it, there maybe some ideas in there.

An alternative to the Heljan crane is one made by Brawa. While not as nice as the Heljan, it is motorized and operational.

They show up on ebay from time to time. I picked one up that is a bit of a basket case, and have been restoring it. Look for part number 1162
