Does anyone know of a good website showing how to wire up SPDT switches?
A SPDT switch is simple there should be 3 prongs on the back. The center will be the hot wire and the other 2 are the items you want to turn on. Wire the center to the power source and the other two to whatever accessory you want turned on and the other wire from the accessory goes back to the second wire on the power source.
