Ok, I'm getting to the point of establishing the blocks in the 6 scale miles of the layout and will be using the Digitrax BDL168 for block detection. I have read the information about it and I think I understand it to mean the following.
A- I will be using two DB150s and one DCS100 so I believe this will be three power districts.
B - Each power district will have to be insulated from the other power districts on both rails.
C - Now as I understand it, within each power district I can put blocks that are insulated from each other by insulating breaks along one rail and the other rail will be common to all the blocks within that power district.
D - Further, I believe I understand the instructions to mean I only need the one BDL168 to detect trains (locomotives) in any block in any of the three power districts.
