Wiring & Electronics for my 3 level n-scale Northeast Corridor layout

Some pics of the layout. Still work in progress. I'll be adding another section that goes around the other side of the room (not pictured)

I'm doing block detection with multiple Digitrax BXP88s. I'm building a main terminal board to house all the components.

That's an interesting concept. I've been using the Wago 221's more lately on my home wiring projects. I like their lever design, not a big fan the push nut type, though. For a bit of added security in the outlet box I give them a wrap of electrical tape.

The 221 inline connectors a great. The carriers comes in multiple sizes. I'm waiting for the 4 connector ones to get here.

I use the other 221s for home electrical projects too. I may use that typo also in certain spots. They have mounting carriers for them as well in different sizes.

I went a totally different route for powering the BXP88s (9vdc), DS64/74s (12vdc-14vdc) and SE74s (12vdc-14vdc). Picked up 3 of these din rail mounted switching power supplies from Mouser. DC voltage is adjustable from 9vdc to 16vdc at @10A. For the price of multiple PS14s (which cannot be used on the BXP88s) these cost less, built better and I could in theory power over 40 Digitrax units per power supply. I'll post updates as I progress with the layout build.
